You deserve a god damn medal for just starting the explanation. Thank you so much, no annoying intro or waste of time yapping. You're the man, thanks a lot my guy.
Short, simple, to the point, and (above all else) effective... THANK YOU SIR! My videos were cutting off the right side of things since the update. Again, THANK YOU SIR!!!
Exactly what I needed thank you so much! My jaw literally dropped when he just got straight into it and less than 10 seconds my problem was fixed... no BS intro
Another fix that allowed our graphics to fit the full screen was to right click the scene, choose "transform", and then "select fit to screen". Again, like he said in the video, ensure the aspect ratios are the same as your input/output or the image might be distorted or incorrectly cropped. Thanks again.
Is possible to have two different scenes with two different canvas resolution? Cuz im tryna have my desktop canvas to be 2560x1080p cuz i have an ultrawide monitor. Then for scene 2, im tryna have my xbox gameplay. But it wont fit in the canvas cuz i have it set to 2560x1080p. So is there a way i can have a 2560x1080p canvas and a 1920x1080p canvas at the same time basically?
Not how you’re wanting to do it unfortunately. You’d have to make different profiles and scene collections. When you make new profiles at the top of the obs screen it saves the settings for aspect ratios you chose in settings. And you’d have to switch to the one you want when you need it. But that’s how I do it my self. Like my game is 1080p because that’s all my monitor can do but I have 2k and other resolutions set up in different profiles and in the settings of those profiles.
@@YXLtheMAN yeh so I want separate gameplay and webcam 3840x1080 on both but the camera one won’t fit the full right side unless you enlarge it and it goes out of frame
why my system says my screen is 1920x1080, I adjust everything in the OBS even the canvas size to 1920x1080 but still there are 2 horizontal black bars on the top and bottom of the video, obviously not fit the screen at all, how to fix, help
Oh okay The only thing that would cause that is if the media source its self has black bars baked into it. If it’s a 1080p source. It would need to be a source without them baked into it. Then when you fit the source to screen it will fit perfectly how you are wanting it to look.
@@YXLtheMAN oh sorry, silly me, I found the reason btw the reason why it has black bars is that the source I'm recording is window capture, it has removed some abundant details like taskbar and stuff so therefore the resolution is smaller than I expected
Fit and strech dosent work for me. Im in 1920 * 1080 but dosent work. If i do.. window will be ultra small.. I have to redo it every time i reboot my pc
It does make a difference if “you” can’t keep up with what’s going on in what ever you are watching. Pause is there so you can go at your own pace for what you yourself can handle. Along with rewinding parts you missed or need repeated. But I wish you a good day. I hope you find some tutorials that are the exact speed you like and need. My apologies that this one or the others wasn’t the right fit for you.
nah bro you dont🤣🤣 its much easier just right click on the preview go down to transformation then click fit to screen dont need to make it so complicated well this is not complicated but u get it
Man what? Did you watch on mute or something. Because I explained that in the video. And I told how it’s best if the size of things you add match what your base canvas is. If someone try’s to add something that doesn’t match or isn’t 16:9 ratio it could end up never showing how the person wants it to show or how they are trying to get it to show. This explains how to make sure everything is situated correctly. It’s Nothing complicated in the video lol.
I've been going crazy. But I keep getting my screen to look like this: ruclips.net/user/liveSDZPNgyDJXc?si=USi63ae_RUfcOW_X I'm trying to make simple reaction videos. And it looks fine in OBS but always bent like this on YT.
@@YXLtheMAN Thanks! i'm getting closer. It's crazy that it doesn't just default to automatically sizing the screen for us simpletons. I also have old monitors and video card so maybe that's part of it too.

ive got a bit of an issue with mine, for some reason it displays 2 screens instead of 1
hi so i tried recording gameplay and webcam seperately i used 3840x1080 on both but my webcam wont fit the full side
What resolution is your webcam?
c920@@YXLtheMAN
If you have the properties settings for it set to 1080 it should fit did you check to see what resolution you have selected?
