Putting this song up was an ace idea. Ginger does so much stuff I'd lost touch for a couple of years, finding this has led me to get 555% and I'm seeing him tonight too, so it's worth it for one sodding track!

Awesome! I can't see many people being bothered ripping these tracks after being posted online. Ginger has a loyal fanbase and the album reached over 580% of it's target so it's basically a success already. The 30-track exclusive CD should be worth a fortune.

Ginger's solo material has always been completely different to Wildhearts stuff ever since he has released it. Check out his previous albums Yoni, Market Harbour, Valor Del Corazon, A Break In The Weather, etc.
Don't compare it to the Wildhearts... Ginger's side projects have always being so he can experiment more with different sounds/ideas. I personally like this, but I can see why other people might not.

If people are going to put stuff up then I'd prefer if it was maybe just clips of the songs rather that the full tracks to play to people who maybe aren't aware of the Pledge campain or indeed G's music. Also downloading something that's already compressed for youtube will no doubt be gash quality so hopefully it will put them off downloading it.

had thought about this before...and think you did the right thing. If Ginger said yes then why not. bottom line if it gets more people buying 100% then who cares. I'd still rather have all 30 tracks and not arsed if someone can get a few for free....
Good stuff mate. Good to get a handful of tunes up then paste them around Facebook etc to hopefully get the interest of anyone who ain't heard the stuff then maybe they'll make the purchase too.

Eh, just joking on the whole "fight" thing. Honestly, I respect you don't dig this (or MJ), but fair dos, you can always bang Earth Vs. on as Vanfuckinhalen said. Myself, I'm a fan of diversity, Ginger's always been tossing out surprises, I can never get tired of the guy. The album's got a lot of Willie Dowling/Cardiacs vibes going on, that helps, I guess.

TBH this song actually is pretty good, it's one that comes closest to a wildhearts band feeling. Well honestly I like it until the chorus.
+Philip Arbon what you call exploring, I call half assing. These newer songs are not as lyrically profound or as well musically constructed as many of Ginger's previous records with the Wildhearts. It's interesting you say the Wildhearts are boring to listen to, because this track and many others on this album are just boring and uninspired.

Isn't putting the whole tune up a bit cheeky? We all pledged our money to get the 30 songs then of course the commercial release would be for everyone else. Why not maybe just put clips of each song so that it will encourage more people to actually go and buy the thing as opposed to just ripping it from youtube.
