Capricho Arabe | Spanish Classical Guitar with Arabic Influence

- Опубликовано: 5 окт 2024
- Capricho Arabe is one of Francisco Tarrega's most well know pieces for classical guitar. You can hear the Moorish influence running through these beautiful melodies. Just as you can still see that influence in some cities in Andalucia, southern Spain.

Thanks so much Kim! Creating emotion in someone is one of the best compliments to receive.
Very haunting piece, played with a skilful and delicately seductive touch. Excellent sound quality/recording and utterly immersive, thank you. ❤

It is truly remarkable how effortlessly you performed that challenging piece. The tone of your guitar is simply enchanting. May I inquire where you acquired such a magnificent instrument?
Thanks so much Adam! Really appreciate your kind words. I recorded the audio in my home studio on my Antonio Marin Guitar from Granada. I love playing this piece…one of my favs!

That was superb. Can you tell me a little bit about your recording? I'm trying for years to have such a full sound. Which mic do you have how do you use eq? Or a compressor? Thumbs up.
Thanks Michael! Appreciate it! You know, I’ve become very minimalistic with my recordings in my home studio. I’m not an expert, don’t have super high end gear, just a couple good Shure and DPA mics. I just keep it simple and go with what sounds good to my ears. This piece in particular, I recorded on my iPad Pro, using garage band, and my Shure SM81 condenser mic. Minimal compression, simple eq to what sounded good to my ears, and some cathedral reverb, which is my favorite.
(I’m not a fan of the way classical guitarists mic guitars using the Teo stereo mics from far away) I prefer capturing the guitar like a live performance, up close, around 12-18” away posting towards somewhere between the 12 fret and sound hole.
@@DavidChiriboga David, thank you very much for your answer. This helps me a lot. I see we have very similar approaches. I need a better mic. I will go for the AK 451 one day.
filmed at the Baháʼí House of Worship in Wilmette, Illinois is a Baháʼí temple.
Yes, such a beautiful temple… ❤️🔥
thanks
Thanks for watching!
Excelent!!!
Thanks, appreciate it! Thanks for watching.
Lovely! How have done the recording outside?
Thanks Martin! Appreciate it. So for this type of video concept, and because of the cold weather and wind at the time, I needed to record it beforehand in my home studio. So it’s more of a music video for the visuals. But I did record it straight, in one take, like a “live” performance of it.
@@DavidChiriboga Thank you David! I thought about kind of... You're perfect in sync, so it's qutite difficult to recognize the "playback". Merry Christmas to you and your family!
@@martinbracks7419 Glad you can’t tell! Lol It should look “live”. Merry Christmas as well Martin!
