Hey man thanks for this epic tutorial. and sharing your experience. Quick question have you tried this technique when the content have buttons. I have been trying to do this on a site but the buttons in the sections become unblockable. I am thinking probably because absolute super imposes everything but even when changing the z index to the buttons it doesn't seem to work.

I've noticed that on the goonies website, the following sections kick in after the hero interaction has finished. I tried to follow your tutorial but when I scroll to a section after the interaction, the section pushes in before the interaction finishes. Any suggestion you could give me?
I know this is a year late but I think I just worked this out for myself - you need to set your following elements to position 'sticky'
