I would say you crazy but you sir have perfected your art. This just shows folks their limiting factor is themselves.
I work in a non permissive work environment, wearing business attire. I used the Smartcarry for three years, first with a G19, then a G26. I drive a lot, and having the back of the pistol pressing into the same spot while seated went from ok, to tolerable, to uncomfortable, to painful over that time. Now I dual front pocket carry two smaller sidearms, and that works for me. If you can make low appendix carry work for you, then great. Not for me. Maybe if I was much skinnier.
@@mindfuctmatrix My ED pocket carry is a Bond arms 'Snake Slayer' derringer in .45 LC / .410 shotshell. It is the tool I need for encounters with rabid/injured wildlife (my expected interaction). Also, the .45 LC cartridge is chambered for a get off me scenario if I get tangled up with a bbear, for some reason (to the neck). I have time to switch to a shotshell for the critters going in circles. I do have a full sized in a fanny pack for less likely scenarios.
@@mindfuctmatrix With tucked shirts, I carry a pair of older gen 1 Ruger LCPs. I prefer the revolvers, but they do peek out at the top of some pockets, so the LCPs work better with tucked professional attire. I find the newer LCP2 to have a trigger that is too light for my taste, and prefer the older design.
Thank you, DC LLC. Greg Ellifritz (Active Response Training) sent me. Great to see a Glock 19 kitted-out so deeply, accessibly carried. Thank you too for reminding us about range of motion and athleticism while in CCW mode.
One thing I rarely see mentioned is that for some people they don't get to pick what they wear when they carry. My company has a uniform that is not forgiving and the LCP 2 is has been 100% concealable for nearly a year now. My preferred carry is the SW Shield Plus, but it just prints too much in my uniform comparatively. Deep carry like you have might be a good solution for a preferred carry.
Does the LCP 2 run well? I get worrying about concealing well in a setting like that. If you haven't seen them I love the Federal Punch 22 lr, Mr. Rhett here has some vids of gel tests and they do really good. Even out of a snubnose LCR. If you got the 380 one I am starting to try to get into the caliber as well. I like the low recoil but am trying to see which pistol I like with it.
Thanks for this discussion on the reality of conceal carry. The biggest con for me has been realizing the mobility I lose, specifically ass to grass and bending over with knees locked. After watching so many videos, I wish someone would have told me... That, and the total expense to protect myself, legally (state specific issue). Ive tried so many different holsters and guns. Thanks for the video, Rhett. Think one of the biggest lessons you demonstrate is that skill trumps the tool. P365X, LCR, Glock 19, you still rock them all. I need to focus more on skill than the gun; keep thinking I need another gun when really I need another class! Have you heard of the SmartCarry holster? Basically a cloth version of the Engima, seems interesting.
@@demonstratedconceptsllc4918I’d say it still is best in the game for what it’s designed for. The enigma is t necessarily designed for deep carry, but you make it work well for that

Do you use the leg leash? Or does the papoose provide enough friction? Thanks to your videos, I've been working through my deep carry setup as well. I'm a small dude; 5'4" 115lbs. I was able to make a g19 without a light work, but similar to your experience with the bigger Glocks, it can pinch and i lose mobility. After i got the normal p365, the whole setup was night and day more comfortable and it just disappears. I still need to practice drawing; been having trouble with that. Can't seem to figure out whether tackling the grip straight down or scooping the grip is more consistent. Any insight would help. Thanks Rhett!
I'd be interested in trying the Enigma for my P365X, but the entry price is a bit steep to me considering that I'm not sure I'd like it enough to stick with it. Currently pocket carrying a S&W 442 in a Safariland 25 holster most days with a reload in another pocket or sling bag, occasionally carry the 365X + 507K and TLR-7 sub in a Henry Holster Ember instead. If I lived or worked in a sketchier part of town I'd be more inclined to go for the Enigma, but I feel adequately armed with a J frame in my pocket for the most part.
May I ask what jeans you are wearing? My biggest problems has been finding jeans or pants with a large enough "rise" (measurement of waste to bottom of crotch) to be able to fit a gun and be mobile. I have one pair of jeans that has approx 14 inch rise and they are great but that is all I could find.

I would like to also add, that those with less room for a longer gun such as the choosing between the p365xl and the p365/x for deep carry (women and some men) to truely take advantage of that length, you are going to have to get a p365 length holster for your enigma os or enigma express. Most holster manufactuers DO NOT make a P365 length holster, a majoirty of reputable holster manufactuers make a p365xl length holster only because they know that the extra length has more tuck. Philster does with its skeleton holster, combined with the enigma express it is an even smaller package. While I still personally use a small wedge/pad (mastermind pillow wedge) stuffed only 1/4 with polyfill, the p365 length holster and the smaller package of the express truely takes advantage of the size of the gun. I think the key takeaway from you're video is just becuase you have a small gun, it might not carry like a small gun if you have a big bulky holster that would be the same size if you would have gotten a larger gun anyway! The P365x/xl is a perfect example of that. I think only dedicated CCW carriers would know these details as when you are carrying, the holster is significantly impactful. The one except is the way you use your LCR .22lr with the hamre forge grips and casual carry. No more LCR 22?
It’s still going strong and I still love it.
Running every gun size that I can gives me widest interface with people. Many who carry a snub feel they couldn’t carry anything else. Many feel the same way about a 19 sized gun. I’m working to meet people where they are.
@demonstratedconceptsllc4918 gotcha 👌 I got my lcr 22 bcuz of you and love it, I consider getting another snubbie but it's hard to justify it 22 checks alot of boxes and other rounds you sacrifice ammo capacity and the ballistics aren't much better than 22 in a 2 inch barrel. I'll probably get a hellcat pro instead of another snubbie
I like the MR920, lighter than a G26 and slim like a Shield.
I too worry about bulge that might draw the eye. Can't legally carry guns in this country though.
Pull your trousers down so we can see what the rig looks like.
🤣 paging @thesuitedshootist
damn, straight to the point. How bought a nice dinner first huh?
Have considered Smart Carry
Had one. Works. I find the Enigma to be a refinement of that idea
@@demonstratedconceptsllc4918 I don't know why but I switched from Enigma to SmartCarry. It's more comfortable and conceals way better for me... Maybe I just need a papoose thingy? I dunno.
Glock 26 ftw
Imo the best ccw ever produced
It's huge compared to a 365. I have both.
I had the 365 and the xl. I cant say anything really bad about them but the 26 just checked more boxes for me. Ymmv
Especially with a carry magwell that hooks your pinky
If you like the Glock 26 seriously take a look at the Taurus G3C or maybe the G4.
