When the BMW 7 series came to the market in the US it was a inline 6. The engine choice was discontinued after 1992. Now the 7 Series is back with a 6 again. I have a 1992 735iL. Best BMW engine ever!
Truth is, the 7-Series have always had an inline-6 in Europe since ohh before the E38 (1995-01) generation. America just now gets the straight-6er in the F01.
This car actually makes sense in this day and age of sky high fuel prices and carbon based taxes. In fact, it's ridiculous that the 750 is subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax, when the much more powerful Mercedes S550 and even the S63 AMG aren't.
Most SSD's and HDD's don't have to spend their life cycle in a car. Vibration, dust, fluid and magentic sealing is very, very serious on these automotive destined HD's.
"and did i mention a rear view camera"? Lmao damn i would not like to be the sale's person if brian wants to buy a car, he would scare the shit outa me! Hahaha
The 7 series has had an inline 6 for years...Check out the 728I, 735i.?? Mayb in America I assume there was never an inline 6 but check out wikipedia..And from personal experience an inline 6 for a 7 series is not weak and the sound is one that says power without the need for over capacity and relative economy. So I suggest that any motor journalist should at least check wikipedia or the producer it self of the car they are reviewing first.
Yes he often complains about that rear view camera costing $400 bucks and yeah I get it, if you pay so much for this car already, why doesn't it have a rear camera standard? However, lets face it, and he's done it before, if it did have one, he would just say, "at this price, it should be there..."
considering the 1990's e38 740i had 280bhp from a V8 and 328hp from the v12. 315bhp doesn't seem horrible. also mercedes has always made a 6 cylinder s class in europe for ages
From what I read on the forums, the 740i is actually faster than the 750i to 60. It actually does it in 5.1. Plus the N54 is HIGHLY tune able.
Yup 👍🏼 the n54 even whoops the n55 those engines are beast able to hit 700 hp with a single turbo setup and no engine work

In the Netherlands, the whole of Europe actually, the inline 6 of BMW, in any series, IS an engine to brag about.
I read somewhere where a guy jumped off a cliff after he received the maintenance bill for this car.
Been grounded for 10 years so ima watch this vid night wanna get this new car for my brother

Brian crosses the yellow line a lot when he drives.

what? a 6 cylinder is small? in germany you can buy the S class and 7 series even with a 4 cylinder engine.
In the home country? Wow
no you can't...the standard for the 7 series is the 730d which is a 6 cylinder diesel..an for the s class pretty much the same 6 cylinder diesel.
7 series is like riding as a CEO
I wonder why they switched to the toaster look for the navi screen in new models. Maybe easier to update to a new screen in 10 years?
