Oh I’m sorry you have a migraine. My prayer is that you feel better soon. Great flosstube. I love the prayer and praise section. You are a true blessing to me.
I hope you feel better soon... R&R for a day or two! You definitely need to be on your A game for stitch con fun! Love your new shirt! Awesome! Love your Gifts From My Garden and the memories you shared. It is a piece you will cherish every time you look at it. Safe travels, have fun and just enjoy the stitch!
Your tribute piece was the first one I bought from Nashville for the same reason. It reminds me of my mother. I haven't started it yet--working monogamously on a gift. Anyway, yours is stunning, and I love the frame too and displayed with that happy picture. I'm an adoptive mother and I could feel your heart. Your mother was blessed to have you. I'm praying for you to have peace and feel better. You bring me joy, and I want joy to fill you up. Enjoy stitch-con. Barbara
Your finish is beautiful! I can’t believe you got it done so quickly! One of the few perks of getting older is no more severe migraines. I battled them for years too. Hope you are better. Have a great time at Stitch Con!🪡
I just recently came across your floss tube. I thoroughly enjoy watching you. You are so genuine. I love flamingos as well. I hope you were able to get a quick relief from your migraines. I was a migraine sufferer for years. I sympathize with you immensely. Have a great time at Stitch - Con. Hugs to you.
Sending hugs. Love the tribe to your mom. I uses to suffer from horrible migraines that lasted 48 to 72 hours at a time. Then I had a hysterectomy and I have not had any migraine since. I hope you find so kind of relief. Sending out prayers to all who need them. Praise our heavenly Father for all he does in our lives.
I love God-incidences! When you mentioned God being your Shepherd, it was a reminder to me, but then... I was behind on preparing my prayer journal for June. Wouldn't you know my focus for the month is Jehovah-Rohi: The Lord is my Shepherd. Prayers for full relief from the migraines. ❤️🤗🙏🏼
Thank you for sharing a little about your mom. My mom passed away February 14th this year( also from dementia). And this weekend we will gather as a family to spread her ashes and remember her. Your stitched piece for your mom makes me want to find just the right cross stitch piece as a memory to my mom.
The tribute piece for your mom turned out so beautifully. Thank you for sharing a little about her with us. She does have a twinkle in her eye, that photo is such a good one. I hope your daughter has a wonderful time in Utah! I’m sure it can be hard to see her go off on her own but this kind of experience will help her grow. And thanks for the kind mention about my wedding! We don’t have a flower girl, so you’re hired! 😂
What a great flossrube. Hope your headache stops! Wishing your daughter a great summer! Enjoy Stitch Con. You’re very sweet and kind. Glad stitching and thinking about your Mom was so helpful! Hugs! 💙💙⭐️⭐️⭐️
Safe travels and hope you have a wonderful time at Stitch Con. Your tribute piece is so lovely. And very understood my so many of us that have lost loved ones. Well done.
Re Welcome to the North Pole: I would move those striped poles outward a space in each direction, add an extra stitch to each side of the snow, and call it good. There’s no border and no one is going to measure it with a ruler to see if your side edges match all the way down. The tiny ends of the garland will not be noticeable if they’re too wide. I think it’s so cute in one big piece.
I love that you are walking the walk! Good for you. Have a ball at the retreat. Thoughts: 1) sadly, I think that if you continue on with “The North Pole” as is, that you will not be happy. 😢 if you want to stitch it as 1 big piece, I think that you need a visit from the 🐸 😮. OR… stitch it as pillows, as you suggested. 2) a friend struggled with migraines and it was suggested to her to remove common allergens from her diet (dairy, corn, etc…) and she learned that corn was a huge problem for her and she is migraine free now. Just something to think about. Thank you for your wonderful flosstubes! I appreciate you and your content! Xx
Love the tribute piece for your mom. My mom had dementia the last two years of her life. Very difficult two years - it was as if she became a different person. Safe travels for Emily on her summer job/adventure! I enjoyed the fish tank update. That's great that hubby and Gavin changed fish stores and like the staff there!
As you are talking about the sheep… have you done the little sheep virtues? They are wonderful. I am currently working on one a month this year. So far my favorites are faith and peace.
On Welcome to the North Pole, what if you just took off 2 stitches on either end of the top garland? That gets rid of your 4 extra rows (If I'm following your math correctly). I've got to get mine started this week! Yay for linen stitching! So much goodness!
So sorry about the migraines - they totally suck!! I have had a lot more recently, I think my allergies are just getting worse (big trigger!!), and now the smoke coming down from the Canadian wildfires is just adding to it... I think you should just make the top swag 4 stitches longer (2 on each side) than the rest of the stitch. I would find it easier to remember to start 2 stitches in than to try to add 4 to each horizontal row. Can't wait to see all your content from StitchCon!! I can't go to any retreats right now, so I'll live thru you!!!
That piece is such a beautiful tribute to your momma. I love the frame you chose as well. Thank you so much for sharing. I think that our crafts can be used so much for our healing. I personally craft and garden for my own mental health. ❤️
Your finish is gorgeous. That frame is perfect. I love the sentiment behind it as well. It's always lovely to spend time with you. I love the positive attitude you just exude. Good luck for both you and Emily on her Utah adventure. It will be amazing for her.
The piece you stitched honor of your mother is beautiful. It compliments her picture and the frame is perfect. I’m glad you have been able to make peace with your mom. A truly lovely tribute. I hope your migraine goes away quickly. My daughter gets them monthly and gives herself shots for them once a month. She had a battle with insurance and won. Migraines are no fun. Enjoy StitchCon!!!
Love your new graphics and how you’ve revamped your Flosstube! I will always stick with you to the end😄. Prayers for all who need them. How comforting it must be to know that your daughter will be in such good hands on her first big trip away from home💕. Hope your migraine disappears real soon. Your stitch to hnor your mom is just stunning❤️. Relax and have a ball at StitchCn!!
Hi Alicia. Take care of yourself with those migraines, sweet lady. Re North Pole - if your top row is 4 stitches too long, could you just take two of the stitches off each end of the row (the green swag), and make sure to bring all the rows in by the two stitches at each end for this top part. That way all your adjustments are just in part 1 and all the other parts can be stitched as they are? I haven’t seen the pattern, so not sure if that would work but sound easier than remebering to adjust every part going forward. Hope that makes sense.
Hey Mrs. Fanciful!! Love the stitch piece for your mother! Love the photos of your mother. I completely get it I Miss mine every day!! I can also relate to daughter flying the coop. I renewed when mine left for College, I was a mess! Now she’s in med school. More local. But it’s hard!! I understand! Have a blast and make lots of memories!!
Hope you are much better! I am so sorry you feel bad! You knocked the video out of the ball field even under the weather! Lost my Mom to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s in 2014! She loved flowers so very much! Plan on stitching this piece for her! I am working on COURAGE now, placing my family members in! Feel good! Have a good week! Ordered those bags for myself! Excited, one like yours with Flamingo!!!!! Love the new format, so cute! Wish I were going to be at stitch con with you! Your babies and you are going to be just fine! Prayers and lots of love!
Your tribute piece for your Mom is beautiful & the frame is perfect for it. I hope you feel better soon. Prayers for you & Emily as she starts a new adventure. We raise them to spread their wings but it is still hard to let them go! Have fun at Stitch Con.
Hope you feel better! I cried hearing your story of your Mother. What a gift. Your piece is so beautiful. Lost my Mom April 2 years ago. Hard. Still haven’t stitched the piece I have in mind. Thank you,
I love your tribute piece and the lovely picture of your Mom. It is so hard for a girl to lose her Mother. I hope your feel better soon, migraines are no joke. Enjoy your retreat and safe travels. Janine
Wow what an emotional roller coaster. You made me tear up with your story of your mom. ❤ I’m sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well. Migraines are the worst. Love the new format of the floss tube and have lots of fun at Stitch Con. Best of luck to Emily and hopefully she’ll bring you back lots of goodies too 🤣
So sorry you are struggling with a migraine. I get them too. I hope you are feeling 100% by the time you leave for Stitch Con. Prayers for safe travels for both you and Emily and extra prayers for your mamas heart. Hugs and blessings!
Hope you’re feeling better soon. I lost my Dad to Alzheimer’s and Covid just 3 years ago. The healing of his loss is slow. A beautiful tribute you made to remember your mom. Thank you for sharing.
I have a “fish” story for you. My daughter & her family were in Florida last enjoying the beach. I stayed at their house to watch the dogs & feed the fish. Easy right? They kept saying there were 3 fish…I only saw 2 & I hunted for that 3rd one. They said don’t worry he’s hiding…nope he had died. 😢 I felt horrible! My grandson took it like a champ. He told me “don’t worry gigi, don’t be sad, it’s not your fault. It’s just the circle of life.” 😮 I loved the piece you stitched for your mom. I stitched several pieces for my mother. When she moved into assisted living they came back to me. Mother also suffered from dementia/Alzheimer’s. It was a tough journey we were on for several years. She passed 4 years ago this September. She is missed every day. ❤ I decided to do something easy for cross stitch camp. I’m stitching the camp badge! 😂 I’ll keep you in my prayers, it’s hard to let those daughters go off. Even though you know they’re ready. Have a great time at Stitch Con! Where would we mail “happy mail” if we had something? Asking for a friend…😂
Hi, love your Mom tribute. Hope you feel better soon. Enjoy your trip. Also not easy to let ones daughter go and explore the world. The Lord just lends our kids to us. But know that you gave her your all to cope with the next part of her journey. The Lord is with her all the way. Huge hugs!❤
If you want to keep the Welcome to the North Pole as one piece, just make sure the second section is centered and everything else will be centered. It’s ok to have the swags a bit longer, it’s on top. ❤️❤️
So sorry about your migraines They are awful, I worked in an office when remodeled the glue in the carpet gave me migraines Luckily I was able to transfer to another branch I love that you do the prayers and praise, I have added yours to my list this week Thank you for sharing Gifts from My Garden I will be stitching, can I do it 3 times, 1 for me and 2 for close friends I'm also working on Jesus Loves Me (I renamed) It was in my Maynia as a Monday start/5 day stitch and my Sabbath Stitch. I have put aside for Christmas in July because Jesus is the reason for Christmas I've gone on long enougth Have a great week!
Migraines are the worst! I hope you’re feeling better soon. I’m taking care of both my parents. My Dad has dementia and my Mom’s sight is going. Some days are challenging. I use my spare time to stitch, it has helped provide a little escape. I hope to see you in Cincinnati. Safe travels.
My heart goes out to you! I just lost my mom to dementia/Alzheimer’s April 2, I didn’t think it would be difficult since I knew it was going to happen. I now know we can never be prepared to lose our mom 😢. Hugs!
I was relieved to let mine go because watching her decline was brutal. It’s a heart wrenching disease for everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with you
Hope you feel better soon. On the Welcome to the North Pole I would just start the remaining sections in two rows. The swag at the top will be a bit wider but I think it would look fine that way.
I hope you're feeling better this morning. For many reasons (your daughter and mom, your health and the fish tank) I'm praying for you. Stay blessed, sweetheart.
I'm sorry you are suffering with a migraine. I have the same situation, trying all kinds of meds in addition to my daily Topamax. Gentle quiet hugs! That was love connection where he would say that!! Did you get a toradol shot? Ugh
What a wonderful tribute to your mom. Thank you again for so much fun doing my first 6 x 6… of course now I have two new starts lol. To the individual and family going through bone marrow transplant, my nephew went through this due to leukemia when he was 18; and bless his heart he is now 50….also, keep in mind this treatment is so much improved over the years. Special prayers to you and your family, and to all the above mentioned.
Choosing joy as well as trying not to take the kitchen sink with me every weekend! I don’t know why I do it it’s a waste of good energy even if it’s not a retreat, I still need to learn how to pack!! Feel better and keep stitching 🧵 🪡
Thank you for sharing. Change is tough especially when your children are involved. Hang in there.
Love your finish and your progress on your wips. Happy stitching!
Such a special lady, get rest and thank you again!
Thank you, I will

I think you should fix it. It’s a special piece. And a lot stitches. More fun to just stitch.
Loved the amazing tribute piece for your mamma. It’s absolutely beautiful Alicia. I’m sure she’d love it so much. ❤

I’m so sorry you are not feeling well. Holistic fish store? 🤣. Enjoy Stitch Con!
My anniversary was December 3.
If my husband was still living, we would be celebrating our 50th anniversary on December 2nd.
