Update: Microsoft announced today that they will not longer be updating Minecraft on PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita and Wii U after the aquatic update. This means that if I stay on 360 I won't get any new features after this update. It also means that I probably won't be able transfer my world to the Xbox One after the update so I won't have an option to switch to bedrock. At the moment I think my best option is to stay on 360 then try and transfer to PS4 before the next major update. It would mean loosing the default Stampy skin and the William Beaver skin. It really sucks but is really the only viable option now. This is a really sad time for console edition players. They will only be able to play on PS4 in the future if they want updates.
It will be extremely sad if the lovely world cant continue, ive been watching for 5 years and stampy is literally my childhood. Thanks for the vids stampy, hope you can find a solution!
Microsoft Litteraly did Minecon Earth, They control the Minecraft updates and they own Xbox, and the rights to Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Playstation passed out and declined joining the Bedrock Edition due to them knowing that if they joined, they would be supporting their Arch-Nemesis, so we are stuck with Xbox, the Switch, Mobile, and Windows 10

Yeah. That wouldn't help with anything, but it sounds a bit better as the title... I really hope that Stampy or mojang or Someone out there can maybe make some skins, or maybe keep updating/making some mod like a update or...Just something. Lovely World is my FAVORITE Series, but it might end soon because of this issue. Hopefully we can figure something out.

Here are my ideas to save your Lovely World: You were saying about the skins on PS4, it would be terrible to lose William beaver and everyone but maybe you could think of another skin for them, like have a machine that went wrong and turned William into a penguin or something like that. Also for the red stone thing you know the way that some of your mini games are just broken, like the boats don’t work the same so those games are just out the window, if the red stone doesn’t work the same just find a different way to build stuff (I know this can’t just be done in a few seconds but over a long time maybe you will get an idea) and keep those mini games and shops as memories of the old versions. To make it less laggy, you COULD destroy some/all of the red stone (or just from broken mini games and shops like Recycle Michael) from the Funland and Town (I know this would also be a waste of so much hard work though😕) so there would be just the building there. They are the best ideas I can think of sorry☹️😭 I would REALLY miss your lovely World if it crashed and was unplayable 😭😭 Btw thank you guys for all the likes, keep it coming so Stampy can see and might do some of the ideas. 💘
Make a brand new series called Stampy’s New Life or something and make a finale for the Lovely World bringing all the helpers back like squid, leebear, Amy, Polly, William Beaver, Hit the target and all your other helpers u have ever had and do an amazing and emotional goodbye to this truly lovely world and create a brand new start, even without there skins you might still be able to still use your current helpers as people who help you get started in your new world.
I have an idea that I think would be cool. Maybe if Hit the Target attacks your world for one final time, he destroys it and u leave in your plane with your dogs and everyone but William because he saved u guys in order to escape. Then u crash land in a new place with new villains and stuff where u restart from scratch.

The sad truth is, minecraft is a dying game As much as we all love it, eventually people will just give up or loose interest No matter what, though, we just have to stay strong for this game, OUR GAME Minecraft needs the community, and with Stampy being such a HUGE part of it, if his lovely world series ends, then they could loose even more support on the game. I have an idea, have someone professionally recreate your world in java then you can use all your skins and you can get updated to the latest version too

Make three copies of the world in it's current state and keep one on 360, send one to ps4, and the final one to bedrock. That way if..- when ps4 stops updating you can go to bedrock. The 360 is just in case. Hope this suggestion helps. 😃
Hi! I used to watch your videos... until I came back from a week holiday and forgetting where I was. (same for many other RUclipsrs). People need to start a petition to save the console!
The best option is probably the PC. On the PC, you should be able to get the same skins. You could use commands to make a world border that you could expand anytime too (that is what I do), and I think you can still plug in a controller. Plus we know that it is going to receive regular updates on both versions. The Ps4 is not a bad option either. On the Ps4, you could just do an episode where the skins that you have on the Xbox 360 get changed by an invention or something. However for both the Ps4 and the PC the game options and the menus change, but there is nothing you could really do about it at this point. You also do not have to make the switch in secret, you could have something happen in your teleporter where it brings you and your helpers to the changed world/ new world. Whatever you decide to do we all support you Stampy, I just ope it does not come o the point where your lovely world has to end. I have been watching since episode 150ish, and it would suck to see it all end because of all of your hard work would be gone.
EmeraldGameZ You can say "what if" to a lot of things, but then you are just trying to work against a solution. He would figure it out, I'm sure he would.
I agree for the most part, but he did mention the 3D parts of skins. Even PC doesn't have that, which could be a fairly substantial issue, considering some characters have them. For example, Polly has 3D antlers, which wouldn't be possible in the PC version. Don't get me wrong, I game on PC because it's my favourite platform, but when it comes to Minecraft, it's PC version could introduce some issues when trying to play SLW on it.
Why are you all hating on this guy? He is right, the PS4 version is the only console version that will get updates, so it's the only place Stampy can go if he wants to keep getting updates.
I think that you need to transfer the world to the Java/PC version of the game. You'll have no issues with skins. Lag won't be an issue. And you can use mods to help enhance your videos. I dont mean mods that change the game. But rather mods like that Minecraft replay mod. All these issues would be solved and many more opportunities will open for you if you switch to PC/Java.
Stamps I think that out of your options the best solution would be to move to Xbox One as that will be temporarily updated and by then hopefully bedrock is fixed ( blame the person who thinks it takes a month to make a game from scratch) meaning you will be able to move to bedrock later on (also if you do a infinite world you will still be able to get updates unless the world was already loaded in my exploring it)
Also the other options leave you in a trap where your stuck on that platform until it is obsolete (PS4) and staying on 360 may break completely soon meaning you might lose your world (I'd recommend making a backup save if your planning on staying one 360)
I am no Minecraft deveper but I believe that once they stop updating the XBone they will stop updating all console versions (I know they said they will stop updating Xbox one but keep 360 I think that is to persuade people to move to bedrock.) The Swampy water in bedrock is being changed (not removed) in update aqudic to be less ugly. The redstone is a hugh issue, it is an improved system but sadly in the process of improving it old restone contraptions have been made redundant but it's no secret that you use creative mode in your lovely world so maybe you could use it to fix redstone (I know it would still take a long time and it isn't ideal), also The bedrock user interface isn't that bad in once you get use to it and there improving it. The flying is my biggest gripe but can be adjusted to. I believe that in the next Xbox system update the're supporting a file browser and that the MC bedrock team said that once they do they will add custom skins, I don't know what you could do for Polly though. I believe your best course of action is to move to Xbone edition untill it is no longer supported then to move to bedrock. I believe the worst option is to move to ps4 as you will be trapped there and I believe that updates would sece to be supported when they are no longer supporting xbone edition. Obviously I cannot tell you what to do and this is only my advise but I am telling you to *NOT LET THIS END YOUR LOVELY WORLD*

Maybe you could try to put your world onto the pc version of minecraft and just play with a controller? On the pc you can always play on earlier versions
Nancy Grossman there are certain programs that you can easily do it with. You only lose entities and other specific blocks (mobs, signs, minecarts, armor stands, etc.)
You cant use controller on Java edition. Only on Windows10. If he's swithing to Windows10, why not just keep it to the Bedrock vesion thingy...its just the same...
Words cannot describe how much I hate microsofts decision. And I cannot emphasise truly how much I dislike the bedrock version. They are ruining minecraft and it annoys me so much as this is my most faveroute game ever. And I hate how they are not listening to us, the players! Why can't they just make it so you can continue to play AND still recieve updates. Im willing to bet that more people would consider switching to the bedrock version if they didn't force you to (which is practically what they're doing since you wont recieve updates if you dont go to bedrock). All they're doing for themselves is building up the hate that people are putting towards this. The bedrock edition is so ugly and no where near as clear and nice as xbox. I give up in this situation and I cannot imagine how difficult and stressful this will be for you. I just hope they reconsider their options

And 5% of the minecraft community plays on the console edition (Official stated by Mojang) of course they want them to switch to bedrock. They are going to improve bedrock for a better experience for console phones and pc just give them time. Bedrock has improved a lot. Like I play Java and couldn't stand it at first but now I can enjoy the game. It's easier for them to focus all their money and time on bedrock and java for the best minecraft experience. Just give them time. Bedrock is a great engine and certainly better at game performance. But the user experience and interface could be better. They are working on it. Give them some time.
Theres been alot of evidence that this wasn`t microsofts decision but instead 4j`s. Minecraft is on alot of platforms and 4j is a small studio porting it to every single console edition, especially when a small amount of the player base is on those platforms its just not a good decision to work on 3 versions of the same game each running on different engines with different bugs and glitches when only 1 of them is profitable anymore

Because I had the same problem on the 360 and I just transferred my world on the old version of Minecraft and still gets updates so transfer your world to the old Minecraft because it’s just like the 360 version but less laggy there’s is two Minecrafts on Xbox one not the ugly on new Minecraft
I know this is not a popular opinion, but I love changeable world sizes like in the legacy console additions. I don't record obviously but I completely agree Stampy about expanding worlds and such.
Ok so I have an idea. You can make a "change machine" and you and William can go in and then when u leave it "flukes"(explodes) so you have an excuse for the skin changes. Also if you have to update again and it loses more skins you can blame it on backlash from the explosion.
Stampy, I am in the process of developing a Universal Minecraft Converter. I recommend you stay on 360 until after Aquatic and you want to switch. From there, my converter should be able to send your world anywhere you want it. But if you go to PS4, you'll likely be stuck on PS4. If you go to Xbox One, you'll be stuck on Xbox One. We can't get PS4 or Xbox one saves at all yet. I would be more than happy to handle your world personally if you'd like.
It's not because there just isn't a wonder quest season 3 but maybe Stampy doesn't have the money to hire voice actors and everything just for Season 3. Maybe it wasn't popular enough???

They are cutting of the updates for the console edition of minecraft. But updates for the bedrock edition will continue and that means you can play on Xbox. But on the bedrock edition.
So microsoft owns minecraft but they are in a legal contract with sony to keep making minecraft on their consoles, but sony doesnt want the better together update as they would lose control of the playerbase, so sony will only allow the console edition and don`t want better together. Microsoft wants to control and thus streamline the playerbase so they are making crossplay with nintendo (who allowed for cross-play unlike sony). The reason microsoft is trying to force better together down our throats is because it will make updating alot easier and quicker for them. I think I said everything important

they said they are discontuinuing all Console Editions except PS4. XB1 and switch get bedrock edition updates, and stampy wants to play on console, so he would have to convert his world to PS4.
It might be sad but I think you should do a reboot or like a big episode where something happens and your lovely world gets teleported into a new universe but some people are left behind. You probably won't because it's controversial but I'm just pointing it out

Honestly, I think that the best option for you right now is to switch to PS4 edition since the only change would be your and William's skin (which I believe you can find the substitute for) and that's not even such a big change and I believ both you and the viewers would get easily used to
Stamps, I think your best bet is to switch to Ps 4. After some times you'll just have to switch but for now, you need a story line. Ok so here's my idea.. You build some new machine in your world and you use it in a special episode. Once you get out your in the new version of minecraft and it'll be part of the storyline. I understand what your saying but I think you'll have to switch at some point. I'm sure n one will notice if you don't have some of the new stuff for a bit. honestly, all he needs is an excuse to wear a hat and for william to have a different skin than a beaver. PS4 is basically the same version as XB360, but can have bigger worlds and runs better.
Start new on the platform of choice and create "Stampy's Even More Lovely World" series XD as for the character skin issue explain how William Beaver and various other friends got lost in a parallel universe somewhere. You could even edit together a mash up the 360 version and the new one and make a series of them trying to find each other again.
You could overcome the whole william beaver skin thingy by doing a special episode, and go to the kitty spa place (i forgot what its called 😂) and william beaver could change skin, you could say the spa is broken and he cant switch back to his old self! I think that would help younger viewers to understand whats happening more! Good luck, no matter what decision you make we are here for you! ❤️
Mojang ruined the entire Java Edition multiplayer community with all the bugs, lack of quick response, lack of transfer packets (this feature has been requested for years), completely changing the PvP and ruining the entire PvP community, and not listening to the community at all as of recent.
What if Stampy made a video with him and his friends going back through old town buildings such as the pretty kitty spa and William Beaver can get a new skin in the spa and he can be saved.

This suggestion might be tough for you if you actually do it, but I really think starting over with a survival world is a really good idea. You can do it on any console you want and it can contain some new and abandoned concepts from your lovely World Series.
think about the skins though. I see this as a possibility, but all the people we know and love, and the skins we grew with... Its gonna be really hard to change over...
maybe start a new main series and give lovely world a finale. but at the same time it’s like how much time he’s invested into this and i can understand how frustrating it must be trying to find a solution that he’s happy with aswell as one that works :(
An easy way fix would be to work in a “reset button” of sorts into your lovely world. You could have hit the target hit this button and “reset” your world and you could restart on bedrock.

Once you run out of room, you should build your lovely world in the end. The nether wouldn’t work bc mobs would destroy things. As long as you’ve defeated the enderdragon, you would be fine. You just can’t defeat him again.
You could just start over Storyline: Hit the target destroys your world Kills your friends You flee in a boat and start over in another world, then you find new friends and move on

When is the last time you used minecraft on 360... It cannot take anymore hits to performance. This is a problem of outdated hardware not the game.

The best option is probably the PC. On the PC, you should be able to get the same skins. You could use commands to make a world border that you could expand anytime too (that is what I do), and I think you can still plug in a controller. Plus we know that it is going to receive regular updates on both versions. The Ps4 is not a bad option either. On the Ps4, you could just do an episode where the skins that you have on the Xbox 360 get changed by an invention or something. However for both the Ps4 and the PC the game options and the menus change, but there is nothing you could really do about it at this point. You also do not have to make the switch in secret, you could have something happen in your teleporter where it brings you and your helpers to the changed world/ new world. Whatever you decide to do we all support you Stampy, I just ope it does not come o the point where your lovely world has to end. I have been watching since episode 150ish, and it would suck to see it all end because of all of your hard work would be gone.

I agree for the most part, but he did mention the 3D parts of skins. Even PC doesn't have that, which could be a fairly substantial issue, considering some characters have them. For example, Polly has 3D antlers, which wouldn't be possible in the PC version. Don't get me wrong, I game on PC because it's my favourite platform, but when it comes to Minecraft, it's PC version could introduce some issues when trying to play SLW on it.
Some PC skins do have 3D skins. *cough* nova skins
I would wait a bit longer, see how it pans out and maybe do a poll if you struggle to decide.

I think that you need to transfer the world to the Java/PC version of the game. You'll have no issues with skins. Lag won't be an issue. And you can use mods to help enhance your videos. I dont mean mods that change the game. But rather mods like that Minecraft replay mod. All these issues would be solved and many more opportunities will open for you if you switch to PC/Java.

Stamps I think that out of your options the best solution would be to move to Xbox One as that will be temporarily updated and by then hopefully bedrock is fixed ( blame the person who thinks it takes a month to make a game from scratch) meaning you will be able to move to bedrock later on (also if you do a infinite world you will still be able to get updates unless the world was already loaded in my exploring it)
Also the other options leave you in a trap where your stuck on that platform until it is obsolete (PS4) and staying on 360 may break completely soon meaning you might lose your world (I'd recommend making a backup save if your planning on staying one 360)

I am no Minecraft deveper but I believe that once they stop updating the XBone they will stop updating all console versions (I know they said they will stop updating Xbox one but keep 360 I think that is to persuade people to move to bedrock.) The Swampy water in bedrock is being changed (not removed) in update aqudic to be less ugly. The redstone is a hugh issue, it is an improved system but sadly in the process of improving it old restone contraptions have been made redundant but it's no secret that you use creative mode in your lovely world so maybe you could use it to fix redstone (I know it would still take a long time and it isn't ideal), also The bedrock user interface isn't that bad in once you get use to it and there improving it. The flying is my biggest gripe but can be adjusted to. I believe that in the next Xbox system update the're supporting a file browser and that the MC bedrock team said that once they do they will add custom skins, I don't know what you could do for Polly though.
I believe your best course of action is to move to Xbone edition untill it is no longer supported then to move to bedrock.
I believe the worst option is to move to ps4 as you will be trapped there and I believe that updates would sece to be supported when they are no longer supporting xbone edition.
Obviously I cannot tell you what to do and this is only my advise but I am telling you to *NOT LET THIS END YOUR LOVELY WORLD*

Maybe you could try to put your world onto the pc version of minecraft and just play with a controller? On the pc you can always play on earlier versions

Nancy Grossman there are certain programs that you can easily do it with. You only lose entities and other specific blocks (mobs, signs, minecarts, armor stands, etc.)
You cant use controller on Java edition. Only on Windows10. If he's swithing to Windows10, why not just keep it to the Bedrock vesion thingy...its just the same...
I use a controller to play Java. You have to play it through steam. The steam controller is outstanding.
Words cannot describe how much I hate microsofts decision. And I cannot emphasise truly how much I dislike the bedrock version. They are ruining minecraft and it annoys me so much as this is my most faveroute game ever. And I hate how they are not listening to us, the players! Why can't they just make it so you can continue to play AND still recieve updates. Im willing to bet that more people would consider switching to the bedrock version if they didn't force you to (which is practically what they're doing since you wont recieve updates if you dont go to bedrock). All they're doing for themselves is building up the hate that people are putting towards this. The bedrock edition is so ugly and no where near as clear and nice as xbox. I give up in this situation and I cannot imagine how difficult and stressful this will be for you. I just hope they reconsider their options

And 5% of the minecraft community plays on the console edition (Official stated by Mojang) of course they want them to switch to bedrock. They are going to improve bedrock for a better experience for console phones and pc just give them time. Bedrock has improved a lot. Like I play Java and couldn't stand it at first but now I can enjoy the game. It's easier for them to focus all their money and time on bedrock and java for the best minecraft experience. Just give them time. Bedrock is a great engine and certainly better at game performance. But the user experience and interface could be better. They are working on it. Give them some time.
Theres been alot of evidence that this wasn`t microsofts decision but instead 4j`s. Minecraft is on alot of platforms and 4j is a small studio porting it to every single console edition, especially when a small amount of the player base is on those platforms its just not a good decision to work on 3 versions of the same game each running on different engines with different bugs and glitches when only 1 of them is profitable anymore

Because I had the same problem on the 360 and I just transferred my world on the old version of Minecraft and still gets updates so transfer your world to the old Minecraft because it’s just like the 360 version but less laggy there’s is two Minecrafts on Xbox one not the ugly on new Minecraft
I know this is not a popular opinion, but I love changeable world sizes like in the legacy console additions. I don't record obviously but I completely agree Stampy about expanding worlds and such.

Ok so I have an idea. You can make a "change machine" and you and William can go in and then when u leave it "flukes"(explodes) so you have an excuse for the skin changes.
Also if you have to update again and it loses more skins you can blame it on backlash from the explosion.

Stampy, I am in the process of developing a Universal Minecraft Converter. I recommend you stay on 360 until after Aquatic and you want to switch. From there, my converter should be able to send your world anywhere you want it. But if you go to PS4, you'll likely be stuck on PS4. If you go to Xbox One, you'll be stuck on Xbox One. We can't get PS4 or Xbox one saves at all yet. I would be more than happy to handle your world personally if you'd like.

you know i really don't get this. if Minecraft is owned by Microsoft why are they cutting off the Xbox editions but are going to keep updating the ps4 edition. can anyone explain this to me please? Microsoft is quite literally strangling themselves right now.
They are cutting of the updates for the console edition of minecraft. But updates for the bedrock edition will continue and that means you can play on Xbox. But on the bedrock edition.
So microsoft owns minecraft but they are in a legal contract with sony to keep making minecraft on their consoles, but sony doesnt want the better together update as they would lose control of the playerbase, so sony will only allow the console edition and don`t want better together. Microsoft wants to control and thus streamline the playerbase so they are making crossplay with nintendo (who allowed for cross-play unlike sony). The reason microsoft is trying to force better together down our throats is because it will make updating alot easier and quicker for them. I think I said everything important

Honestly, I think that the best option for you right now is to switch to PS4 edition since the only change would be your and William's skin (which I believe you can find the substitute for) and that's not even such a big change and I believ both you and the viewers would get easily used to
Stamps, I think your best bet is to switch to Ps 4. After some times you'll just have to switch but for now, you need a story line. Ok so here's my idea.. You build some new machine in your world and you use it in a special episode. Once you get out your in the new version of minecraft and it'll be part of the storyline. I understand what your saying but I think you'll have to switch at some point. I'm sure n one will notice if you don't have some of the new stuff for a bit. That's what I've got, hopefully you'll get it worked out. Best of luck :)
honestly, all he needs is an excuse to wear a hat and for william to have a different skin than a beaver. PS4 is basically the same version as XB360, but can have bigger worlds and runs better.

Start new on the platform of choice and create "Stampy's Even More Lovely World" series XD as for the character skin issue explain how William Beaver and various other friends got lost in a parallel universe somewhere. You could even edit together a mash up the 360 version and the new one and make a series of them trying to find each other again.

You could overcome the whole william beaver skin thingy by doing a special episode, and go to the kitty spa place (i forgot what its called 😂) and william beaver could change skin, you could say the spa is broken and he cant switch back to his old self! Mojang ruined the entire Java Edition multiplayer community with all the bugs, lack of quick response, lack of transfer packets (this feature has been requested for years), completely changing the PvP and ruining the entire PvP community, and not listening to the community at all as of recent.
What if Stampy made a video with him and his friends going back through old town buildings such as the pretty kitty spa and William Beaver can get a new skin in the spa and he can be saved.
Omg I only got my PS4 recently but I used to have a 360 I would’ve been heartbroken when I find out that they stopped updating it’s so sad my childhood is ruined 😭😭😭

This suggestion might be tough for you if you actually do it, but I really think starting over with a survival world is a really good idea. You can do it on any console you want and it can contain some new and abandoned concepts from your lovely World Series.

maybe start a new main series and give lovely world a finale. but at the same time it’s like how much time he’s invested into this and i can understand how frustrating it must be trying to find a solution that he’s happy with aswell as one that works :(
An easy way fix would be to work in a “reset button” of sorts into your lovely world. You could have hit the target hit this button and “reset” your world and you could restart on bedrock.

Once you run out of room, you should build your lovely world in the end. The nether wouldn’t work bc mobs would destroy things. As long as you’ve defeated the enderdragon, you would be fine. You just can’t defeat him again.
You could just start over
Storyline:
Hit the target destroys your world
Kills your friends
You flee in a boat and start over in another world, then you find new friends and move on
