Apple eMac (A1002) - Restoration

This is a complete video about an eMac teardown and restoration. The motherboard needed new capacitors, the case a clean and polish.
The eMac get's quite dusty inside because of the big fan on the back and it produces a lot of heat during operation.

Thank you for the video. I had my eMac 1.25 GHz professionally recapped and this video was helpful when reassembling it. Unfortunately, after putting it back together it no longer powers on. I am very disappointed, but remain hopeful. I made sure to go slow, although I did have a few screws left over... I think I should let it sit for a while before I look at it again, for my sanity. If anyone had suggestions just let me know.

Sounds like the PowerButton. You should check the cable connection and press it deep enough and a bit longer. Sometimes the button turns inside the hole in the case and you cant press it deep enough to make it work. Just give it a try.
