I thought the history was interesting too, I had no idea she was responsible for the little black dress. I am wondering if that's why she likes pink, or if it's just a happy coincidence. Even though I am not into high fashion for myself, I did collect fashion dolls for awhile, so maybe that counts. But those are cheaper, they always fit the dolls and the outfits are already put together so it's just easier all the way around.
Coco Chanel really changed the fashion perspective in my opinion. She was such an icon and I loved hearing more about her history, so thank you. My inspiration is Karl Lagerfeld, He was also a fashion visionary and I loved everything he did in his life. I’m so glad he was a part of Chanel’s history, and I’m sure Coco would have loved what he did with the brand.
Coco! My inspiration is Audrey Hepburn a wonderful person and artist who has suffered a lot but never gave up. She was also active against the hunger in the world and particularly in Africa. My bday is on august too so happy birthday to us 😊
I love this spread! The cover page is so neat! A tip I learned when doing mood trackers.. don’t use dark colours for the sad/upset moods they’ll stand out more switch it up and use dark for happy moods and light for sad moods the good days will stand out more!
I used to read up a lot on coco Chanel as well as Versace, Gucci etc too! As for women, recently Mirabai Chanu won a silver medal at olympics and that’s very inspiring.. I think she’s so humble and hard working and she made India proud! 💗🏋🏻♀️🥈
coco I think my Mom inspired me the most. She made my clothes until I was 11 or so. she ran several of her own businesses, I think her favorite was growing herbs and flowers.

She lives at USA, so her books are available in english. I do recommend “Mujeres del alma mía”, I think it’s “The soul of a woman” in english; came out last year and it is short and powerful 💜

Coco. There are so many inspiring women who have inspired me, but lately, I have been obsessed with Angela Davis. She is alive and well, teaching at the University of California, but her life takes up what seems like lifetimes. She began her career as a Marxist academic, radical in thought and beautiful in her defiance against an unfair government. She worked alongside women like Audre Lorde and bell hooks. My favorite quote of hers is: Sometimes we have to do the work even though we don't yet see a glimmer on the horizon that it's actually going to be possible. I love this theme so much since it shows how much care and love you have for the details of a woman’s life. Thank you for such an inspiring BUJO spread!

I read in a fashion magazine (forgot which one) that did an entire spread on her & she says she never goes without 3 layers of mascara! And I have sworn by that ever since and it makes my lashes so much bigger!! She is an amazing woman with such incredible ideas for fashion prints & designs!
Very sophisticated! I love it! I do like how easy these types of pop-ups are. I did one for my baby shower invites (almost 4yrs ago now). I had a boy monkey on one side and a girl monkey on the other 😁 COCO: The woman that inspires me the most is my mum! She is the strongest most caring woman I have ever met. When we were younger she had promised to take my 5 siblings and I, plus a couple of our friends, and another parent out for the day. She looked and felt awful, she wouldn't stop what she was doing. She took us all out, we had a great day. She went to the hospital afterwards to find she had an aneurysm and if she had sat down, like we all wanted her to, she would of died. Even now she is in a lot of pain with an untreatable type of arthritis (even the pain relief hardly touches her pain), just walking can cause her excruciating pain but she doesn't give up. She will still play with my little boy and my nephews and nieces, she will still stand and cook us all a meal (generally before we get there so we don't do it for her). When we do all go up there is 17 of us plus my parents to feed. So yeah.... my mum is my hero 💓

Thank you for the historical facts on "Coco" Chanel. I have deep admiration for Hypatia (Hellenistic Neoplatonist philosopher, astronomer, and mathematician who lived in Alexandria, Egypt). She was renown for being a great teacher and wise counselor. I can only imagine the struggle, the dignity and strength that must take to be acknowledged as a woman in this time, let alone great teacher and wise counselor.
I love this theme. I also love the creative way you made your cover page. An early Happy Birthday to you! The woman who inspires me that most is J.K. Rowling... Just kidding she happens to be number 2. Number 1 is my mom. She has to take care of her three children. She also for a time had to take care of my cousin (from my dad's side of the family) who lived with us for a whole year. She is the one who is called by teachers for three of my cousins whose parents lived in a different part of the country. She is the eldest of 8 siblings so when they have problems one lives in Canada, another in America and the other 5 live in the different locations of the same country as her. On top of that she is an on call Anesthesiologist, works at two different medical clinics, one of which is on site a construction site (Wed & Fri) and the other is a normal clinic setting (Tue & Thu). The fact that see can do all of these and still have time to be herself inspires me to be more like her. Coco

Coco Chanel was a very vocal antisemite and open Nazi supporter in WWII (I am a historian major), she even partaked in zeiskng proterties from jews and assets, a person like that can't inspire nothing more than pitty for her lack of humanity. Given all latest social movements and the fact that now asians are being target and victims of absurd hate crimes (my daughter is visibly asian looking so I know), I just believe is time to not support people like her or brands with such a dark horrible past. She lives at USA, so her books are available in english. I do recommend “Mujeres del alma mía”, I think it’s “The soul of a woman” in english; came out last year and it is short and powerful 💜

Coco. There are so many inspiring women who have inspired me, but lately, I have been obsessed with Angela Davis. She is alive and well, teaching at the University of California, but her life takes up what seems like lifetimes. She began her career as a Marxist academic, radical in thought and beautiful in her defiance against an unfair government. She worked alongside women like Audre Lorde and bell hooks. My favorite quote of hers is: Sometimes we have to do the work even though we don't yet see a glimmer on the horizon that it's actually going to be possible.

I honestly find much inspiration for fashion from Donatella Versace! I read in a fashion magazine (forgot which one) that did an entire spread on her & she says she never goes without 3 layers of mascara! And I have sworn by that ever since and it makes my lashes so much bigger!! She is an amazing woman with such incredible ideas for fashion prints & designs!
Very sophisticated! I love it! I do like how easy these types of pop-ups are. I did one for my baby shower invites (almost 4yrs ago now). I had a boy monkey on one side and a girl monkey on the other 😁
COCO: The woman that inspires me the most is my mum! She is the strongest most caring woman I have ever met. When we were younger she had promised to take my 5 siblings and I, plus a couple of our friends, and another parent out for the day. She looked and felt awful, she wouldn't stop what she was doing. She took us all out, we had a great day. She went to the hospital afterwards to find she had an aneurysm and if she had sat down, like we all wanted her to, she would of died. Even now she is in a lot of pain with an untreatable type of arthritis (even the pain relief hardly touches her pain), just walking can cause her excruciating pain but she doesn't give up. She will still play with my little boy and my nephews and nieces, she will still stand and cook us all a meal (generally before we get there so we don't do it for her). When we do all go up there is 17 of us plus my parents to feed. So yeah.... my mum is my hero 💓

Thank you for the historical facts on "Coco" Chanel. I have deep admiration for Hypatia (Hellenistic Neoplatonist philosopher, astronomer, and mathematician who lived in Alexandria, Egypt). She was renown for being a great teacher and wise counselor. I can only imagine the struggle, the dignity and strength that must take to be acknowledged as a woman in this time, let alone great teacher and wise counselor.

The woman who inspires me that most is J.K. Rowling... Just kidding she happens to be number 2.
Number 1 is my mom. She has to take care of her three children. She also for a time had to take care of my cousin (from my dad's side of the family) who lived with us for a whole year. She is the one who is called by teachers for three of my cousins whose parents lived in a different part of the country. She is the eldest of 8 siblings so when they have problems one lives in Canada, another in America and the other 5 live in the different locations of the same country as her. On top of that she is an on call Anesthesiologist, works at two different medical clinics, one of which is on site a construction site (Wed & Fri) and the other is a normal clinic setting (Tue & Thu). The fact that see can do all of these and still have time to be herself inspires me to be more like her.

Junni I love your channel, loveee your videos, layouts, your personality, well, everything but in this case will hard pass this month's vid. Coco Chanel was a very vocal antisemite and open Nazi supporter in WWII (I am a historian major), she even partaked in zeiskng proterties from jews and assets, a person like that can't inspire nothing more than pitty for her lack of humanity.
Given all latest social movements and the fact that now asians are being target and victims of absurd hate crimes (my daughter is visibly asian looking so I know), I just believe is time to not support people like her or brands with such a dark horrible past.
