When we make it we use Doyle chunk pineapple or sliced instead of crushed so much easier then we use real cut up strawberry slices not whatever you was using
In the 80's my mom bought a cookbook and a similar recipe was in it. Ohhhh it was soooo fantastic, it was hard to believe anything could taste soooo good ! ! ! We all had a copy, but we all moved and lost the recipe - HAPPY To Have it ( or a version of it ) Again. ! ! ! ! ! ! ! If I could, I would emoji 10 cartwheels. ! ! ! ! !

Pasteurized eggs can be found at Trader Joes and used in the filling instead of the milk. Dramatically adds flavor to the filling.
