This week we take a look at the impressive iron giant of Bennerley Viaduct in Nottinghamshire.
Built 150 years ago and spanning over 440 meters over the Erewash Valley it is the longest remaining wrought iron viaduct in the UK!
Closed to trains in 1968 it has now been lovingly restored and made accessible to the public with the help of The Friends Of Bennerley Viaduct.

Hi Em & Stu hope you are both keeping well. Now that is one impressive viaduct unfortunately I wouldnt be able to walk across it as I dont do heights but so glad to see it has been saved and put to good use. Nottingham is a great plce for industrial explores. Last year I visited the old Cotgrave colliery site and was amazed to find the old branch line to the colliery still in situ. The great thing about exploring is you never know what you might find. Keep up the great videos and I look forward to the next one.👍😁

Hi Richie, if all goes to plan we are hoping to take a trip over to North Wales next summer.. I've been to a few of the copper mines many years ago and would love to return, we also have the barracks at Anglesey on our list to visit so fingers crossed all goes to plan.. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, always appreciated 😊👍
