Great review! I think your observations are spot on. I love Charlottes makeup but even with some of the best Perfumers and all that marketing, it's kind of astonishing how out of touch the brand is with the Fragrance world. I also thought there was something really outdated about this collection, that it was targeted more towards someone who isn't really that into perfumery. And the prices are just silly!
Magic 😊 first off, your nails are ✨ amazing. I am at a point in my life where I like perfumes marketed to women my age and up (I'll be 39 on Thursday, actually): I find Epic 56, Roja 51, Alien, Silver Oud to be the sexiest scents a woman could wear. Well, also Narciso Poudré and vintagey designers such as Coco Chanel. They smell to me like an extremely confident, powerfully intelligent, strong woman, which I melt for 😂
Your review is pure Magic in that you say exactly what you think about the fragrances. Bravo, and thank you for that! My bullshit detector was also strongly going off based on the marketing materials. And you are absolutely right that creative director(s) within a company can have the most talented perfumers in the world working for them, but their direction can result in products that miss the mark instead of being memorable and unique creations.
The MAGIC of it was that the sample set of these fragrances made me even less interested in the brand than I already was. They are uninspired and not worth the money. Half of them were boring, the other half tried too hard and slapped in too many things at once, ending with something very meh. I don’t know who this was made for, because us fragrance maniacs will smell the samples, go “huh” and move on, and the casual perfume enjoyer will smell something better on the next shelf over for at least 1/3 less money. The advertising looks like it is aimed at children, and that doesn’t seem like a viable business strategy for 6 fragrances at $150 per bottle. It’s also funny that I don’t always have the same taste as you, but we had pretty much 100% the same opinion on this entire collection. I can now boast that I have as good of a nose as a French perfume professional ;)

Especially in these inflationary times, people need to think if they want close to $1000. of cute bottles sitting on their dresser
Magic. I was interested in checking out a couple of these (Calm Bliss and Cosmic Power) after Sebastian (The Perfume Guy) mentioned their upcoming release. I was prepared to overlook Ms Tilbury's ridiculously pretentious 'dahlings' affectation, because the fragrances sounded interesting and the bottles looked different. But thank heavens we have your wonderful nose and unerring integrity to give us an honest opinion on the whole package. It all sounds like an overpiced disappointment. There are many (in fact TOO MANY) fragrances on my wishlist that will be far more worthy of my investment. Thank you, lovely lady 😊

Pourrais tu faire s’il te plaît une vidéo update des parfums sun tan lotion, les meilleurs et les moins bons? A little non-compete issue, perhaps. I really wonder who this line is for, and I wonder what market research her team had to encourage this release. It seems a little ~witchy for her usual customer, and the scents are too dull and expensive for everyone else.
I sprayed these on a paper at Sephora, wasn't impressed with any of them enough to spray on skin. I wasn't impressed with her original fragrance either. She should stick to cosmetics and skincare OR just put all her effort into one fragrance and do that ONE well. Gimmick.
MAGIC is what I was expecting these to be and I like that they are also sold in decants for people to add to their beauty basket and try out ❤ I found your review helpful and will still put my nose on them when I get the opportunity 😂
I tried this collection and I agree with you. There is NOTHING magic or magical about this collection. Completely overpriced to smell like basic incense varieties you can get at a Botanica shop that has a witchy, tarot vibe. If that was the point, she nailed it. However, those shops smell much better than whatever fragrant trash she put out. There’s an allure and mystery in the scent of those shops.
💜MAGIC💜 The leggings comparison had me on the floor Bwahahahahhaaa. Your hair was gleaming 😍. I really do adore beautiful deep fragrances whether masculine or feminine leaning , if they’re real bully buster boi boi , I wear those for my pleasure at home (hubby doesn’t have a nose 🤦🏻♀️)as hubby won’t wear any scent 😭but I find I have not been able to get into any of the Zara, Kayali and some Sephora offerings; they really end up meh and flat even after giving it a good try. Thank you for your honesty and even just hearing you pop the cap back on sounded very plasticky and I love me a beautiful or high quality bottle, so that’s disappointing. No-no and no for me! I don't like anything about this collection. If I want to pay 130£, I'd buy Sana Jardin, VC&A, Hermes, Eight and Bob, Bon Parfumer etc... This ones is bad marketing, tasteless packaging, mediocre (I've been polite) composition/quality. Disappointed and don't even want to buy other products of the brand. There are better beauty brands as well :D

Omg I literally had the exact same thoughts when I tried the sample set. More S3x is not at all sexy; Calm Bliss not calming; Love Frequency just the worst (horrible); Joyphoria the best of them; Cosmic Power run of the mill amber. However I didn't like the seaweed in Magic Energy 😂 I wore Joyphoria on skin, it was decent but I have better white florals 🤷♀️ I haven't been inspired to really wear the others yet. I was hoping for more, and now I realise how much of an oversell this was. Glad I only spent £20 😂
I owned her original fragrance and it smelled very “old” almost stale. It was a struggle. When she came up with these, I was hesitant but still curious. I blind bought a travel spray of the vanilla one. Smell reminded me of Armani code. Not bad but nothing special.
I smelled them all at Sephora recently and I felt like they felt flat. I was disappointed. I appreciate your honesty.
