This song was perfect for the ending of Marked for Death... Watching Hatcher and his comrades disappearing before the cops arrive with him carrying a fallen Charles, killed by Screwface, as this this song rolls up into the closing credits. A sad but great ending for what I believe is one of Steven Seagal's best movies.

odiemodie1 What also made ending was Hatcher’s buddy, Max, was limping from a gunshot wound in the leg as they walked away after the final battle. The hero and his companions, even though they’re bruised and bleeding, still walk away triumphantly.

Oldie but a goodie
For me, the end of the 90's was roughly when Seagal really started declining. I say "roughly" because there were two other decent movies in the very early 2000's, which were Exit Wounds in 2001, and Half Past Dead in 2002 which I personally felt were pretty good. Everything after that are all just straight-to-video projects. In the late 90's he put on weight and, IMO, started wearing those long leather jackets to try and hide it when he could have done what other actors do and just worked out and gotten fit again. 20 years ago he was still young enough to lose the weight and continue making great movies but for whatever reason he chose quantity over quality. 85 through 95 was Steven Seagal's finest era when he was at the top of his game. I absolutely LOVED his movies - still do and always will.
Even in the mid 90’s, people were starting to poke fun at Seagal’s weight.
I remember an episode of Martin where they said he looked “like a fat, bloated Elvis.” There’s others too, but that one immediately comes to mind. I remember it was the episode where Martin gets sick and constantly calls Gina with his “sick bell.”

In my personal opinion the best Reggae tune ever made. I fell in love with it from the moment I heard it the first time I watched marked for Death. If you can sit still while listening to this island magic .... I suggest that you check your pulse, because I think you're dead! The club scene near the end was icing on the cake for this tune. It features a stunning black temptress in a white evening gown, seductively swaying to the music while moving towards the viewer with beckoning eyes. I was a young man when this film was made. I think I had to change my shorts!! ;-)
