The Lord put this song on my heart as I woke up the other day after a night of praying for healing and deliverance from a 36 year old bondage that was trying it's best to destroy me. Wow it's finally rained here in Utah and after all the California smoke we've been inhaling for the last month the skies are finally gorgeous and blue with puffy white clouds and I heard this song on the radio and wanted to listen to it again and came here to find out that the original singer of this song has passed. Thank God we've been blessed by this version as well but it's a fitting tribute that it rained so I can learn of the original artist and of his passing

Wow it's finally rained here in Utah and after all the California smoke we've been inhaling for the last month the skies are finally gorgeous and blue with puffy white clouds and I heard this song on the radio and wanted to listen to it again and came here to find out that the original singer of this song has passed. Thank God we've been blessed by this version as well but it's a fitting tribute that it rained so I can learn of the original artist and of his passing

Yes it is a wonderful song and my favorite cover. Johnny Nash though in 1972 and it hit #1 on Billboard. This was a remake for a movie in 1993 and is the best cover of all. Both are very inspiring.
