- today we go and test mr.hollow point slugs.. 50 and 75 yards. im testing this as a deer hunting gun. im going to do another video with the gun setup for coyote and fox size game later on..
my reg is set to 170bal and my power wheel is at 55 clicks

Fellow Michigander! I would love to test your mold with some aluminum magnesium silicon alloy , it’s a super ductile metal that will cause the slugs to expand super fast, but also goes super fast, and because it’s so ductile it’s most likely super easy on rifling, it’s a project I’ve been thinking about for a while, if your into it I could find the right allow for you and send some your way? I would love to see the results of this test! These slugs will go crazy fast
If u want to send the alloy I would happily make some.. but I wouldn't send out my mold.. this mold it hard to get and i don't want to risk anything happening to it..

We have similar in Snow.. Same amount here in Western Maine
Last week we got 20+ inches in one night then it all melted in a few days
I really like it. I want the power and the 35 cal. And the semi auto part. But I already have big guns. It looks like a large rifle. Great video. Really interesting results
I recently replaced the 1/26 barrel that your using to the 1/20 slug barrel they offer and my groups went from about what your getting or close out of a majority of the slugs I tried to nearly touching holes . The barrel twist rate made a big difference in slug accuracy.
Where do you find the replacement barrel
That's the thing about a semi/fully air rifle... You can't take your time and shoot. I can almost guarantee you got that dime sized group shooting a bit slower. You was pulling that trigger pretty dang fast. Lol! Either way it was a good showing.

my 357 terminator the jam-in-nator jammed ,. so i got this in 357 and on the way less then a week ,, also i got the adapter so i might run just the emperor however its set up now with the emperor connected to the extender is long long might run it like that,. have a good bipod , and putting on my 1x8 sig sauer tango lpvo scope, i have the lcs sk-19 in .30cal so this was obviously the next upgrade :) i got my scuba bottles sorted as well i have 2, 45 pounds the big scuba tanks 1,,, 35 the fire man back pack size i like this one a lot and i got a 700cc carbon bottle put a regulator on that as well easy to back pack and leave connected, i am on my 3rd 300 dollar chin-ease compressor and try an keep them all charged up to 4,500 the tanks used off e-bay i will upgrade the regulators from amazon . i cant wait to shoot my new 357 rattler i got 1200 rounds or so of 357, 200 of each weight, and 6 different brands or more to see what works best 68grain up to 125grain ,. i also have for my pit-bull sum,,,,. , heavy---er 357 slugs kicking around sum i had gotten from griffin were crazy at that cal they have sum great ones a bunch of nsa at different weights and the fx hybrids light weight and shatter lucky 7 makes some nar-lee slugs lots of different ammo's,, cheers :)

For some reason my fx Chrony sucks at catching speed when it’s on barrel. Put it on tank and it catches almost every shot. Maybe worth a try
I was thinking about picking this rifle up. Can you tell me if it's front heavy or well balanced? How does it shoulder? And is it about the same length as a 700 mm impact? Every platform can have issues, But this rifle has a high complexity configuration. How do you forsee the long term reliability of this platform being..? Thanks man
It's a little heavy but when shouldered it feels really good very well balanced.. I can't compare to the impact because i own one... Size is manageable.. so far the only real issue that I'm aware of is the valve leaking..
What is the product number for the 120 & 150 Lyman molds you're using please...
I only use noe molds or accent molds.. the slug I made was a 174gr from noe.. when u put in the pins for the hollow point it makes them drop around 150gr.. everything else was mr.hollow point ammo
I'm thinking about picking this rifle up. But I'm wondering how it shoulders? Is it front heavy, or rear heavy, is it about the same length as a 700 mm barreled impact with moderator? Thanks a lot..

Hey bud so do you prefer the Rattler .357 air rifle or the AEA challenger .357 air rifle? Meaning, if you had to choose just one of the two which way would you go and why? Thanks.
If I have to pick one I would go with the rattler because it's more versatile.. you can adjust the power for small game or big game and it's not that hard to do..
@@MichiganAirgunner Totally makes sense. And judging only by looking at the videos Rattler seems to be a little more easy to move around with versus the Challenger. But that 300 FPE from the Challenger is tempting indeed!!!

Noe sells the mold but I hardly ever see them in stock anymore

how do I set the psi to 180. I was told that I had to adjust the the tank aswell as the knoble under the stock.
Shot a ten point at 50 Yards and could see the bullet hit neck through the scope. little slow set at 150 psi from manufacture. Any help would be Appreciated.

@@bobbystevens789 the reg is just above the tank.. u want to turn it counterclockwise just a tiny bit u will see the reg gauge at the back of the gun go up .. the u adjusted the the power wheel..

How do you like the Western Rattler .357
and how many shots on full power FPS an FPE?
Then what's the highest FPE an FPS you can set it on to get the very most shots per fill? So example 140 Fpe × 50 shots..
What I got was a max of 255 fpe with 150gr slug with the reg set to 170bar.. I got 8 full power shots. Will the reg set to 150bar bar I got about 30 shots with fx hybrids and pellets putting out 130-140 fpe
I will have one of those. I gotta have it.

How does it compare to the BinTac B&W S45?
The rattler is a 100% better gun then the s45.. u don't have to worry about mags exploding or buying a approved slugs.. it gets more shots and is much more accurate. If you're looking for a Simi auto big bore and have the money then I would take the rattler over the s45 any day
Who did you get that scba tank from?
I got my tank from lethal air few years ago

It's a Lyman melting pot and a noe mold

@@MichiganAirgunner I own 3 different .357 rifles and wife wants to get a Rattler. Will be saving money if I make my own and won't have to worry about the out of stick stickers.
@@bamoore65 I like showing what other peoples slugs can do but I cast all my own slugs for big bore.. just because of the money you save when shooting.. the only part that sucks is finding the right mold.. not all guns like the same ammo so the hunt for the right mold can cost some money.. but molds sell pretty quickly on the classifieds

If you have the money to spend I think the build quality and the Simi auto function and the ability to shoot slugs and pellets is worth the money.. iv had then gun in freezing temps and completely covered in ice and it worked great. But you could get a gun that will work just as good for less. Just comes down to how much u want to spend on your hobby
@@MichiganAirgunner I received my 30 cal Rattler a few days ago from Arizona Air Guns. Waiting for a scope. Do you have any suggestions on mold for 30 cal? Current problem is Coyotes. With purchase I got JSB DIABOLO 44.75, 50.15, NSA 43.8/.300 SLUG as per suggestion Arizona Air Guns.
