Nice to see accurate shooting. People might think "it's just pest control, let them suffer", but making such clean shots to get rid of the pests and end them immediately is pretty humane thing to do. That's what I always point out to new bow buyers who are thinking about going for a hunt: never practice with animal. Be sure your shot lands where it needs to. The place I work in (sells all kinds of hunting stuff from fire arms to bows etc) is pretty strict about hunting with as little suffering to the animal as possible. This is a good video because it shows that people who kill pests don't make even those pests suffer. The surface is smooth and slippery and yet they land on it. Sometimes they slide a little but they deploy their talons and still perch there. But that's not the major issue. They defecate all over the place and on the grain itself, especially the livestock fodder. Also on the grain we people eat when it's being loaded and unloaded. You should try to shoot more in the head. I know it‘s difficult but if they are living and falling down, that‘s not right. But there are some awesome headshots! Thanks for the vid
I 100% DISAGREE!! Body shots are essentially a guaranteed kill. A high tuned .22 or .25 is shooting 80-110ft/lb and any hollow point will explode the lungs/heart. And death will be certain. However, missing a headshot (due to the accuracy needed (in high wind and steep elevation) taking a beak off is just cruel and the bird will suffer. So body shots in my opinion, bc death is certain with a skilled shooter, are much more humane. Headshots are fine under 40 or so yards. That said, every shot on this video was humane! But would an inhumane shot be put on video?! 🤷🏼♂️
@@KevinWood44 thanks for your extensive comment, buddy. I also prefer heart and lung shots. But you should bear in mind one thing - at high velocities with airguns a hollow point would pretty often makes a clear pass through - tested. Thank you amd have a Happy New Year.
@@AirRifleActivities I didnt mean any offense pal, I was disagreeing w the orgin comment of more headshots 90% of people watching should aim for the body, but you're a superb shot, I'm sure you dispense of the birds ethically. I'm not a Karen or an animal rights activist lol Idc where you shoot them. I would personally aim for the largest target, I'd hate to pull a head shot and clip a beak. Whereas if I pull a lung shot it stick does enough damage to kill the bird. I'm not also not as good of a shot as you.
@@KevinWood44 buddy, no offense taken at all ☺️ And I must say I agree with everything you just said. I also think heart and lung shots are much more practical and ethical. That thing you said about clipping when aiming at the head is also absolutely true. And they're more practical because all the flapping and rolling following a head shot alerts not only pigeons, butt all other species in the immediate vicinity 😅 Let alone some passers by or workers thinking that I'm actually torturing the birds. I do a head shot video every now and then because viewers find it more challenging and spectacular. Some think it's more ethical too.
Thank you, David 🙂 Although the shots did get the job done. It's just that on head shots there's always that flapping and rolling after the sudden brain death.

First of all, thank you for the positive feedback 🙂 Second - you're mistaken. Me and my boys always take follow up shots whenever necessary. With head shots all this flapping around you see is the birds nervous system shutting down. It's dead upon the very moment of the impact, hence the lack of a second shot.

Hi sir I bought edgun r5m standard in .22cal..it's brand new.. only thing the cocking mechanism is very hard sometimes it jams ..can you please suggest me idea
Hey, Shashi. Listen, I really can't tell from afar... I suggest you go back to the gun store or if you bought it online - contact the retailer and explain the problem. If I had the gun in my hands, I would disassemble and perhaps find the issue, because Edguns are simple and efficient designs. But if I don't have it, I really can't say. One thing though - could it be you've tightened the hammer spring all the way in?
Whats exactly your reasoning behind using PCP instead of break barrel for just pigeons and how do you get yours refilled? Is PCP really worth it over break barrel for small varmint hunting like this? Thanks
To me it is. The PCP gives you much better precision and over a greater range. I use a 7 litre carbon fiber bottle. Also a small 0.5 litre one which I refill with a portable compressor. Those can be seen in other videos of mine.
Thank you, Alfred 🙂 It's true I don't include a lot of misses in my videos, just the interesting ones. In almost all cases I miss it's due to unpredictable wind gusts, and it's always windy here by me. However, this is not a bad idea, I might make a "miss" video soon 👍

Hey, great video brother. Just had a quick question since I'm not very familiar with guns. I currently found my grandpa's old air rifle. It's a Slavia 640 model 77 with a scope attached. I just wanted an honest small review from a guy who knows a lot about air rifles like yourself. I didn't want to Google it because Google makes it hard for a beginner to really understand. Thank you in advance :)
Hey, buddy. First of all, thanks for watching 👍 I'm afraid I can't give you an honest opinion as I've never shot this gun. I know it's a break barrel, and I prefer shooting PCPs. My advice to you would be to watch some videos and see how to replace some of the parts on this gun if it's been left for a long time just lying around somewhere. One thing you'll have to replace almost certainly is the piston seal. You can also take it to a gun smith if you have such anywhere close to you - if he's worth his salt, he'll know what to do.
He can't give you a answer because he doesn't shoot these poor pigeons humanely. They are suffering on the ground and not dead that's why he uses this air rifle so he can watch them suffer! Stop asking him questions, he's a monster and pest control doesn't go on Rooftops killing birds I guarantee this is illegal!! Don't take advice from this idiot! ! I have a pet pigeon and she's intelligent! They have nests and mates for life and this monster is taking it away for no reason just because he THINKS THERE PESTS!! Newsflash for you, pest control doesn't go on rooftops sniping birds if they did ide see it in my area.. NEVER have I seen such a monster hiding on top of buildings to kill them. He argued that there dead but I've seen they clearly weren't! lies lies inhumane to let them suffer like he does .
hey you make very good videos and I like slowing them down but I don't like people who say that it hurts the pigeons because they only suffer 2 to 3 seconds (if you don't kill them instantly)
Thank you for watching, buddy 🙂 We do our best to pull off humane shots only. Headshots are just one way to dispatch a bird instantly. The thing about them is there's a lot of flapping around because of the nervous system shutting down. People think the birds are suffering and start posting a lot of nonsense...
If that's the case, I am also a sniper and I promise to hunt you in such a way that you suffer the least amount of pain. Is your blood more colorful than the blood of that bird?
Hhhm i don’t know.. there are other ways to hold this animals away? There you can shoot day in day out and they always come back? Or is this because of having fun by shooting ?

Thanks, buddy ☺️ The gun is an Edgun Matador R5M Standard .25 cal. Scope: an Athlon Argos BTR 6-24x50 FFP.
Great video, but can you please tell us more about the rifle and the used ammo in the video ?
Hey, bud. It's an Edgun Matador R5M .25 cal. Pellets are 34 gr JSB. Check the rest of my videos, you can see them on the list of videos on my channel. Cheers 🙂🤝
7:53 awesome headshot
Thanks, mate, enjoy 🙂🤝
You should try to shoot more in the head. I know it‘s difficult but if they are living and falling down, that‘s not right. But there are some awesome headshots! Thanks for the vid
Thank you too. Tell me, please, which one of the shots was not humane enough in your opinion? I'll try to explain what happened and why 🙂
So nice shots 💪🏽💪🏽
Cheers, mate 👍
F in the chat for all of the pigeons. It was the best way for them to go out, great shots mate
Thanks, mate, for watching and the support 🙂👍
Next time I'm having a bad day I'll remember the bird that made it down only to have the cat come along. That's a bad day made worse!
I must admit you're spot on, friend ☺️ Thanks for watching 👍

Very nice shots! Do you ever use actual bullets?
Thank you, friend 🙂 No, I shoot airguns only at this point.
Hi, is this an airsoft sniper? May I know how many joules does it have?
No, mate, that's a PCP airgun, nothing Iike an air soft rifle.
It's adjustable but in this video it was set to about 53 foot-pounds.
If the shot didn't kill them, the taste of concrete surely did ! Nice work 👍
Thank you, David 🙂 Although the shots did get the job done. It's just that on head shots there's always that flapping and rolling after the sudden brain death.
geez...this looks like a never ending task o.0
Timo, you won't believe what new permission I just got. The place in this video is nothing. Thousands of flying rats inside a huge grain warehouse. Eating over 75 metric tons of grain each year. Stay tuned, interesting videos coming soon. And thanks for watching 🙂🤝
@@AirRifleActivities you see, for me as a german, those videos are great, because here in germany, maybe you've heard it, nearly nobody owns a gun, you won't ever see content like yours from germany.
Hey! First things first, nice video, but can you explain something to me please? Why hunters never shoot a second bullet to a wounded animal to end it's pain? Especially if they are not going to eat it.
First of all, thank you for the positive feedback 🙂
Second - you're mistaken. Me and my boys always take follow up shots whenever necessary. With head shots all this flapping around you see is the birds nervous system shutting down.
It's dead upon the very moment of the impact, hence the lack of a second shot.
@@crunchbucket3derham951 You have no idea what you are talking about, are you?
@@crunchbucket3derham951 I wonder what that makes you, other than a world class hypocrite? How come you watched when you find it so distasteful? Clearly you have no idea what you're talking about. I'm not even gonna try to explain.
@@crunchbucket3derham951 pest control, mate. That's what this is. These birds poop all over the place and on the grain and spread salmonella and ornithosis. That's why owners want them gone. And no humane measures worked. It's not like we're shooting feral pigeons just about anywhere - only at these places.
Good evening, what weapon do you use, can you give me the link of the weapon
Hey, buddy. Here's a link and thanks for watching: www.edgun.shop/collections/edgun-matador-r5m/products/edgun-matador-r5m-standard?variant=20881604935739
"...and here's that stupid pigeon who's not afraid of the shot..." He ain't stupid no more!! lol Good hit. On that one that was stuck, did you ever try and do a VERY carefully-placed shot to sort of 'shift' the body a bit and see if it drops after that? Cheers!! and BTW, MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours!! Thanks for continuing these great vids!!
Buddy, one time I shot an entire magazine at a pigeon's carcass stuck on a roof. To no avail. I just leave them to birds of prey, buzzards and kestrels at that place.
Many thanks and happy holidays!
Nice clean kills for the majority of shots , good work . That was a windy old day to contend with as well .
Indeed so, mate, it's always windy here by me. Thanks for acknowledging that. There were a couple of shots with the Gamo where we had to fire a follow up, but it wasn't safe with the bird on the ground. Cheers 🤝
6:45 what a shot!! well done
Thank you, friend 🙂
Spreading joy with beautiful head shots wonderful video makes me happy knowing you guys are destroying so many flying rats .

do you eat them?
These days I give them to the cats at that place.
@@AirRifleActivities glad they don’t go to waste at least
Whats exactly your reasoning behind using PCP instead of break barrel for just pigeons and how do you get yours refilled? Is PCP really worth it over break barrel for small varmint hunting like this? Thanks
To me it is. The PCP gives you much better precision and over a greater range.
I use a 7 litre carbon fiber bottle. Also a small 0.5 litre one which I refill with a portable compressor. Those can be seen in other videos of mine.
Love your videos like always but you know what I’d love to see as well your misses and explain why Keep up the great videos

Hey, buddy. First of all, thanks for watching 👍
I'm afraid I can't give you an honest opinion as I've never shot this gun.
@@AirRifleActivities Will do! Thank you so much for the quick and honest reply! You definitely earned a new subscriber.
@@georges17 thanks, brother, means a lot 🤝 Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
@@AirRifleActivities no worries! I commented on your most recent video to try helping with the ignorant comments. Hope it helps a bit.
People think the birds are suffering and start posting a lot of nonsense...
its better then what they get being hunted by natural predators
If that's the case, I am also a sniper and I promise to hunt you in such a way that you suffer the least amount of pain. Is your blood more colorful than the blood of that bird?
Hhhm i don’t know.. there are other ways to hold this animals away? There you can shoot day in day out and they always come back? Or is this because of having fun by shooting ?
No other way proved efficient. Culling does the trick. I admit I enjoy doing pest control.
