    Ok, I have an idea. Maybe somebody has already suggested this idea but here it goes. They do sell long and wide rolls of plastic sheeting for construction. Maybe you can choose a length and pick an area on the piles so when the pigeons fall they land on the plastic and at the end of your run, you can pull the whole sheet back with the pigeons on top of them. Just thinking out loud.

      You're right, mate. It takes a while. But we don't give up 🙂 The owners of the place have up for some reason - there were several hundreds left when they stopped calling us. Said they were busy 🤷 Their loss.

      Cheers, friend 🙂 The 008 really performed well, I was disappointed by the sound recording only. Virtually, all it picks up sound-wise is the sound of the hammer hitting the valve 😉

    From the pigeons POV...one minute you're watching your baby daddy boinking your best friend and then next second you are in Heaven!!!! Have you given a thought of trying snow shoes for the grain walking?

    Now that is a gun that might tempt me back into pcp shooting. Had a Brocock Commander that melted me so I sold it and lost 500 notes after only 3 months. Swore I’d never again go pcp but I’m temped! Beautiful gun.

      If that's what you're saying - I couldn't agree more, but there's no one else to help... I was on the heaps of grain, my buddy has a bad knee, so he was collecting the ones on the flat surfaces.

    Thank you so much for sharing. You are to be commended for your excellent marksmanship and then to clean up. You need a powerful drone which has a gripper claw to pick up the carcasses off the piles of grain. Of course that is too expensive. Maybe a fishing rod with a grappling hook? Perhaps that would make it possible to retrieve the deceased pigeons? At any rate, thank you!

    Great shooting. I bet you could be there on almost a daily basis and find some with that type of building. What are your typical distances?

      Thanks, Joe 🙂 That permission is really insane and it's gonna take a while to cleanse it, because we only go on weekends.
      To answer your second question, when I'm outdoors I shoot at various distances, 35 to more than a hundred yards. At that specific place I try to be more careful and shoot close and medium distances, for obvious reasons, although in that very video I took some shots at over 80 yards as an exception.

    I once did a job like that. We shot 450 pigeons, but that looks like a bigger problem. The cleanup is the hard part, I understand. Thanks for sharing.

    When they bring the grain in, the birds stay inside the building ? Maybe you can fashion some kind of snow shoes like they wear in deep snow regions ?

      Don't know, James, a lot of guys advise me in the comments to get a pair of snowshoes but those are pretty expensive to waste for such an activity, I think... Yes, the birds stay there, live there, nest there... They enter through multiple entry points, the place is huge.

    is that the su12fpe version or FAC? if FAC, how many shots do you get out of one fill? i am really liking the prophet and i'm planning to get her as my first pcp!!

      Hey, mate. It's an FAC. The number of shots depend on the power setting of the gun and the fill pressure of the air tank, as you know. I haven't counted but I usually fill my gun up to no more than 250 bars, so that I don't put the reg under too much stress. With that 500cc bottle on the Prophet I get dozens of shots, no less than 60, I think.

    That is a monster shoot. I could watch non stop. Are you using a dual camera set up because some of the shot alignment and holds don't make sense unless your recording from a separate setup.

    Cutout some giant footprints of plywood ad strap them to your feet, snowshoe mesh would let the grain through. You must spread your weight over a larger area to keep from sinking in.

    #replay. To traverse the grain piles and avoid sinking adapt snow shoes to enable footprint to keep you on surface of the pile. Layer with impenetrable layer to enlarge surface footprint. Enjoy your content.😊

Much to my regret, no one pays for that kind of job, at least not to the best of my knowledge.       A lot of guys say so, Bernard; however, I must admit I still have some doubts those will work for that purpose, and they're not cheap. Have you tried snowshoes on grain yourself?

    Now that the honeymoon phase is over with your prophet, how is it on day to day maintenance and accuracy? It shows that you are doing your part when it comes to shot placement. The sky rats are S.D.O.I.(Stone- Dead on impact ).

    That's a lot of lead flying around inside a feed barn. Was there any concern about lead in the feed? Is there a way to sort it out during processing? Is it just considered a lesser evil than all the poop and debris?

    On the snow shoes suggestion suggested by me (HUMOUR account) , some old tennis raquets can also be used (also as pigeon swatters at that place!!)...given the number of pigeons still there , what would be your timeline for total eradication?

      "old tennis raquets" 😄 If I use them as pigeon swatters I'll get even more hate than I do now 😉 To try using them as snow shoes will only make me look a cartoon character, brother 😄
      On a more serious note, my timeline of total eradication has just extended yesterday - there's been some rough weather here lately and a lot of windows were broken. Owners left them like this for days! Imagine what it was like inside when I got there yesterday...

      No, Rick, snowshoes are not really cheap, so I wonder if I should invest in a pair... And plywood strapped to my feet would act like skis and make it quite hard to climb the heaps, I think... 😉 But thank you kindly for watching and for your suggestions.

    With so many targets, good that you go for the heart and lungs shot. You are lucky with the equipment of today.
    I did my shooting with a Crossman pump .22 back in the day. 8 pumps to get one shot. Happy hunting.

      I still have a Crossman 760, and I live just a few miles from where it was made in Bloomfield, NY. It used to be the state of the art decades ago.
      Hate pumping it up after every shot, but it's deadly under 30 yds. The new air rifles like this one are insane compared to the 760...

    You need a long-handled scoop like an oyster rake. Also you could toss a climber's rope over the upper structure over the center line of the piles so you can pull yourself up as you climb. Leave the ropes in place but tie them off at the sides when you aren't there.

      Hey, Neil. I use the JSB Monsters Redesigned and the reg pressure is 150 bar. I use a fixed pressure reg now, but I suggest you get one of the adjustable ones - much more convenient.

      Hey, Matteo. If you shoot birds at 30 meters you'll be fine using a 16 J gun - what the British call legal limit.
