- Americans watched in horror as Los Angeles burned for five days between April 29 and May 3, 1992. More than 50 people died. The riots started after a jury found four LAPD officers not guilty of beating Rodney King, an unarmed black man. During the melee, Inside Edition visited stores that were targeted by looters. One store owner looked on helplessly as people took off with his goods. Another shop owner explained how his store was spared during the destruction. #InsideEdition
I never will understand why the rioters destroy their towns. Why aren't they outside the courts picketing.
They want free stuff they don’t have to get off their lazy asses to work for.

MrMJmusicLover the riots happened in the middle of the afternoon on Wednesday, April 29, 1992. They reached the verdict at 1pm, but gave first responders a four-hour headstart to spread themselves thin throughout the city before giving the verdict later that day. If the trials began on Wednesday, April 22nd, it gives you about six days to prepare for the worst. If you left at 12am on that Wednesday night, you would have 18 hours to get out of dodge.
