I graduated high school in 85,it should have been 84,but I had to redo a grade,I had a few cassette tapes with me talking, and me and my cousin talking, I don't know where they went.
Very interesting how you tried to record so much stuff even back then but cameras were too expensive so you did this .i wish more people did this especially in the 70s and earlier since you really can't find a lot of footage made by regular people from that time plenty of movies and videos made by professionals .seems like when it comes to sound recordings few people did this since they didn't see the point .my parents made some sound only recordings at concerts but not of their daily life i only got still phots of that and a few videos from the 90s when i was already born
I distinctly recall that Inauguration Day for Reagan's 2nd term. It happened on the same day as the Super Bowl. It was snowy and freezing in D.C. and the ceremony was moved inside. Meanwhile, on the West coast ....Joe Montana and the SF 49'ers were preparing to meet up with Dan Marino and the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XIX --- that's 19, btw. 🎉 That would be 1 year from the Chicago Bears (Ditka, "Refrigerator" Perry) meeting the NE Patriots in SB XX, 20 in 1986. 🤔
How cool. 40 year old audio that sounds crystal clear

The Mercury Marquis was new then. Ronald Reagan was about to start his 2nd term.
