Can u believe that i learned this game (in some kind different, but base is 90% of whats in this video,different because we used at any game to try guessing the number of points, was written on paper,with each players name ,like a table, +points if u achieved ur guess, -points if u didnt...in total were 24 hands...Example for a 4 player game we had 4 games of 1 card each, trump being random..then games 2 to 7 had 2 card each and next 3 and so on 'till 7, each time trump random , then 4 games of 8 cards no trump , then descendin with 7 cards turn 6 -5 and so on...a nice 1 and a half to 2 hours game) from my elder brother when i was like 15-16 yrs old....now im 35 and cant find suitable players no more :)) This game was in city of Iasi - Romania year 2000ish . Wish u all wonderfull 2021.

What if they played all on spade and the trump suited card is heart, would the trump suited card still win?

I play this all the time. I never heard of the dog’s life which would be fun to try. We always play deck calls at 1 though. It’s a big enough advantage to lead at 1 but calling trump is unfair

On the second and subsequent rounds, when a player chooses the trump suit and leads the first card, does the lead card have to be the trump suit, or can that player choose one suit as trumps and lead with a different suit?

Any suit can be led.

Trump suit 3 would be a non-trump suit queen, yes.

What i dont understand is what if i play a card that is different than the suit of the lead card even though I do have cards of that suit? Is this legal? Or is there a mechanic for spotting out players violating the rules?

That's called reneging and you are automatically eliminated or given the dog's life if it hasn't been used.
