I believe the company is simply called 'Motas Electronics' not 'Motor 6'. Either way its a really beautiful machine, I've owned for several years now. The main filter is my favorite part. It sounds so rich and can be configured from 1-6 poles, which is unique. I also love that in the amplifier section it can be set to softclip and its a really warm saturation too. The oscillator section has unique features as well. Each oscillator can be the usual suspects, triangle, saw, pulse, but you can then mix those together per oscillator, of which you have 3 of them. Then on top of that there is analog phase modulation and vector morphing between 4 patches. So just think about that for a second. You have here an analog synth that can generate tones that start to approach the harmonic complexity of FM and spectral evolutions of Wavetable which then feeds into rich analog filters and a saturable amplifier section. I haven't even talked about the extensive modulation system yet. You get an envelope and lfo per control, so thats 30+ of these to play with. So folks I could sing this synths praises for days, you really gotta check this one out. It's special!
Amazing. I saw this synth a couple of years ago and wanted to buy one, totally forgot! Theres so much choice out there. This to me stands out. Its got such a nice retro feel about it but quite powerful and up to date. Looks like it could have been released in the 80s alongside the 303. Can't wait to try one!!
i love everything about it but would be great to have darker panel color option without the wood cheeks... i know i know... focusing on the important stuff :)
@@dwb1980uea, it looks great.. and most importantly, different. Life is too short to blend in (that is why I took a can of orange tractor paint, and painted my car with a 4 inch roller)
@@fortheloveofnoise My point is kind of the opposite of "bland in", these unneeded wood cheeks are on everything today and I think what I dislike about it is that these cheeks have no practical use except to attract people who like the look of vintage synths... you know this "classic look almost everybody like", but I don't, kinda look cumbersome to me, make it unnecessarily bigger and pretend to be something it's not (old), maybe even more susceptible to electromagnetic interference? ( i don't really know) but the rest of the synth is fabulous. The color is less important but silver is also part of this 70s synth wannabe thing. I would love it to be orange :) I sent them an email once asking them if it's possible to remove the cheeks but if I remember correctly they said it's part of the case construction. Maybe now that "Sweet Discreet" do metal work I can work out a solution to my troublesomeness :)

Jon here from Motas Electronics. I should have pushed in the knob and turned for coarse (fast) adjustment. Just turning provides fine control of parameters. I wasn't well prepared for this video ....

I just bought one after getting a demo at Synthfest23 last week.
Love mine!!
Waiting for the new batch.
Nice ! Envelopes that actually “look” for clock and Sync to it properly.👽
I remember the Motas 6 from a few years ago, wanted to buy it, but the shipping to the states is just so prohibitive. Lovely sounding though.
It's been available from US retailers for years. Detroit Modular has the white in stock now.

@jamaharon You sound like a right cheek! 😆 Fair play though 👏
Looks fun, steep learning curve I bet, but once mastered it would be a powerful tool
It took him about ten turns of the white knob and I couldnt hear much change
