Good morning, and happy weekend. Come along for a calm and relaxed Saturday in London. I’m going to show you what I wear on the weekend, and what my mornings look like during these warm summer days. Recently I've just been in such a need for time off without like a single plan or time to keep. So I try to have at least one day a week where I don’t have to do anything.

My reset day is Sunday. The other six days of the week I am busy but on Sundays I slow right down. I ease into the day by taking my coffee back to bed and reading for an hour or so before I get up. Then I take my dog for a long leisurely walk somewhere different. I live in a little village by the sea. My morning dog walks are always picturesque. But on Sunday we leave the village for our walk, which is always longer and slower. I have family in London so visit regularly and Greenwich Park is a lovely weekend walk. Although my location couldn't be more different to yours our slow weekend routines aren't so very different at all

Iced roasted barley tea!! I put one large tea bag in a liter bottle with hot/warm tap water. It steeps in 2hrs and then I take the bag out and keep it in the fridge. Absolutely delicious.
Also green tea with fresh mint and a little sugar!
I read your book while travelling through Asia and I really loved it! Especially the detailed descriptions of everyday’s life you mentioned in the video makes it very relatable. Also your videos are beautiful of course! Love from Germany!

And I feel the same way about disturbing - brutal classics. I’m a bookseller and I find it difficult to recommend classics and fiction books that are not too tough, but still enjoyable and good quality writing…
Here’s my list:
Classics :
• Peter Pan. You should definitely check this out if you love Kensington Gardens! It is so underrated and yet one of the most poetic and liberating classics of all time. And it is NOT just for children.😂
• Harper Lee, everything
• The Finzi-Contini Garden, a beautiful summery story settled in Italy.
For more contemporary / non classic books:
• Lauren Weisberger, the Evil wears Prada -nothing else to say
•Etgar Keret, Seven years of happiness. It deals with difficult subjects, but in a very positive and funny way
• check also the Greek femal author Alki Zei, for some Mediterrranean calm.

What a lovely routine! It all feels so calming. I also just read your book and I thought it was lovely! A nice easy read with a deep dive into the minds of complex characters was a perfect match. I am also a fan of iced tea! Rooibos iced tea is the best - I may be a biased South African but give it a try! 😊

I never really thought about it, but I didn’t realize that authors have to leave quotes on other authors books. Like, I’ve noticed the quotes before on books but I never thought about it

I also ALWAYS have my feet up in some way when I sit 😂 For my iced tea I like to use dragonwell xi hu long jing with some lemon and mint, sooo refreshing. Oh and I LOVE your book. I think it will end up in my next favorites video 😜

I, too, feel I can´t read the sinister classics any more... Have you read "Sung´s Shop" by Berlin-based German author Karin Kalisa? Maybe it is your cup of tea... ;)
And: I also have to curl up - so much so that I stopped doing "desk" work at my desk - I do it on the floor instead now with a little prop for my laptop... good for the back and the legs and the overall feel of the body, I think! ;) - "sitting is the new smoking", as the saying goes... I love having nothing on my schedule for Saturday! I used to live in London and walk on Hampstead Heath with my husband from time to time so I know exactly where you are talking about. But actually, because we were on a four year working holiday, we would like to go somewhere different most weekends and often went for walks to quaint villages in the countryside surrounding London too. (We had a car)
I'm the same! I have to sit with my feet curled up for comfort.
However, I prefer not to wear white at home, or at least avoid it while I'm eating or cooking so I don't get stains. Otherwise I love to wear white at work.
I also almost always sit with my feet up 😁 I thought it was just me!
really random but during summer I loooove drinking gazpacho. It's such a refreshing and nutritious drink so I really recommend it. I drink AT LEAST a liter a day hahaha
curling up is so necessary at home! at work or some place that is not mine, i'm comfortable upright w/ feet on the floor... but at home i must be curled & *comfy*
