- Coty Built's latest iteration of the Jeep TJ TDI conversion. We have now created a module to convert VW CAN bus signals to Jeep CCD signals for full integration of the instrument panel.

Man, I've been wanting to build one of these for years! Seems like my lack of budget may have been a good thing as the kit/tech seems to have progressed infinitely. This may very well need to finally be a goal for 2016. Great work!
@ 2:01 it pulls the front left tire on take off. Love the little 1.9L. Have that same engine in my 01 Beetle.

What gears are you running with 33" tires, AX15 and TDI?
When you did the conversion i'm guessing you had the immobilizer deleted? Did you need to keep the cluster for it to run?

So total cost would be around $17,000 USD for a turn key 1997 TJ. That's a lot of $$. They're cool though.

so confusing to see that as a german XD, the engine sound doesn't really suit for the wrangler
i have all the time a golf or passat in my mind, but its a wrangler with a 1.9 tdi XD

It's a Jeep sin to lean the hood against the windshield it damages the hood and the windshield frame when you do that

seriously, sounds like bull when you put "it climbs without any throttle", guess what? So does my 4.0L in 4low.
Other than that, really, really nice work.
This engine is half the displacement of yours with twice the torque under the curve.

that's so sweet but I can't justify dropping in $17,000 for an engine swap.
The conversion kit from Coty is like $1,500 get a used VW TDI from a pull and save and do the work yourself. When you have others do it for you youre going to pay for labor.
