This is why SO many gay men love wrestling. Name any other activity you can grab or get a face full of another dudes junk in front of a crowd and people think its just "sport".
I can see it as homoerotic, but I like to think there is one activity left where men can be free to act as men without it being critiqued as something sexual. It surely is passionate, and the ancient Greeks used to do many such competitons naked. And I think that its important to appreciate it without sexualization, like people seem to interpret everything from wrestling to breast feeding as sexual, which just further shames anything regarding the body. Now we are in a time where people are afraid to be naked in locker rooms, swimming and women are trying to shame males into 'putting a shirt on'. Shaming the body whether in action or simply idle is just as prurient those who sexualize every context where it is on display, imvho.

I noticed when top kids in the country are wrestling in there state against the Mediocre kids those kids don't really attack against them like they know they will loose..if they think like that then they have already lost.
