Would you be able to explain how the ref arrived at decision to award a win by default as that didn't seem to be the way the match was going.. Thanks

Shortly after 3:05, you can hear red's coach off to the right say, "Hey, Kevin", addressing the official. Noticing the coach's hand gestures, followed by the short conversation, my interpretation is that red's coach voluntarily defaulted the match.

the kid was sticking his tongue out at our team and my coach wasn't having any of it.

The coach told the ref to stop the match because the kid in orange wasn't showing sportsmanship.

I was there too and I know you are a Ben Davis HS wrestler, I frankly didn't see a lack of sportsmanship in Chase Kilgore, it was a normal wrestling match, after all wrestling is a physical sport it's not cheerling.
There were no pushes or slaps etc.
And in any case it is not right for a coach to end a match on his own initiative like this, causing a match to be lost without even having consulted with Kadin whether to continue the match or not.
That was Kadin's match, his alone, it wasn't up to other people to make that decision but only Kadin, where is the personal freedom?
Would you be happy if other people made decisions for you against your will? I guess not.
Your coach's behavior, I'm sorry to say, but it was domineering. Poor Kadin 😔

It doesn't seems to me that Chase weren't showing sportmanship or were too "aggressive".
In any case the decision to default a match should be taken only by a wrestler, not by his/her coach.
That was Kadin's match, not coach's match.
Now Kadin in his records has a "default" thanks to his "coach".

How was he not showing sportsmanship? He seemed to be the one that wanted to wrestle. I don't understand.

He has the ankle band colors listed with each wrestler's name in the description. Chase with green, and Kadin with the red.

So it seems Chase (orange) thinks he's a snake with all those unnecessary tongue movements 3:11. 👎

Fellow in gray should not be wrestling as he needs more guidance and personal tenacity.
