Nuts and bolts have been jumping ship from my motorcycles for decades. Now I know where they all went! These videos are always fun to watch. Thanks for sharing.
Scrap metal is everywhere ! My local mechanic allows me to scrounge his Scrap. A lot of coil springs and odds and ends. It adds up ! Like you said.. be creative. Think outside the box.
Great video I really enjoyed this. Metal is somewhat difficult to find for free where I live. But there is no shortage of farmers. Most of them are all too happy for you to clean up scrap metal. A few will say they might need it for something some time even though it's laid there since 1940 rusting away
Just stumbled onto your channel , it was just what I was looking for. As a beginner welder please tell me a good intro machine tac welder to start with. Thanks you Chris
Welcome to welding and welding art! I’m so happy for you! It’s going to depend on what you want to create, but I personally find that a Meg welder that runs with gas on 110 is the best and most versatile welder for someone getting into metal art that will weld a wide range of projects for you. amzn.to/3oXbNVm This is a fantastic machine that will do a variety of projects, delicate or durable!
My favourite places are yard sales for free bed frames and treadmills.. Treadmills also have DC motors and PWM controllers so you can add variable speed functionality to fixed speed machine tools like drill presses, Chinese lathes and the like..:)
Barbie, why don't you look into cleaning up your metal chemically? You could use Hydrochloric Acid, (Americans have a different name for it which I have currently forgotten) or you can use salt and low voltage electrolysis to clean up your parts, particularly if they are only going to be added to the resource boxes! This would also be a good idea for another video to explain the steps and risks/precautions to your viewers! Mark from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 PS Happy New Year Barbie!
It's such a pleasure to see you go into the creative state of mind. It's like I can see the wheels turning in your head. Thinking of what you can create at 1:38. Such a pleasure to what a true Artist! Got nothing but LOVE FOR YOU BARB!!!
Great video, as always. I've had really good luck finding metal while dumpster diving in construction dumpsters in new subdivisions. Amazing what fence buiders and others toss out. Everything from square tubing to angle iron. All it costs is your time. Keep the videos coming. They're a huge help. Thanks
How wonderful it is to receive these gifts until your yard looks like a scrap yard like mine was turning into!🤘🏻😜 Please tell her I said happy welding!!
Thanks!
Thank you so very much!! I appreciate you!!🫶🏻☺️

Wow , I love this! Makes me think I might be able to do this too... Are all metals ok? can you mix them and weld all together?
You can weld steel to stainless steel using 309 wire!
@@BarbieTheWelder what about the silverware? is that real silver? ( and I registered for a welding course just now 👍👍)

Is this really new? Everything I've seen said 5 years ago. I hope so because you turn old metal into cool art. Would you hang my art in your shop?
Thanks!
