I like how she returned to this sequel for some reason. The old lady only appeared briefly in scene as a gag, but this one they actually give her a personality and dialogue. I think she had at least 10 minutes worth of screen time in this.

Subplot with Alex’s backstory is really freaking dark. Zuba and Florrie had to assume their baby got brutally killed by hunters for profit/meat/etc because Zuba looked away for a minute. Really quite tragic.

Moto Moto is a cool character even past the meme. He was portrayed as preferring bigger women in the 2000’s when people would be shamed for being anything more than stick skinny. Yes he was shallow, but he eventually showed that he was still a good guy. He helped Gloria and the community dig for water and seemed to take her rejection fine going off that. In general I love the subplot because it’s about how real love is about the people you love not the bodies you’re attracted to in the moment.

I agree, this is the best of the trilogy. But if we count the Spinoff as well then I actually prefer that one Imo.
