Update from Soundpeats: IP Rating is IPX4!
Review shokz opendots!!!
No EQ applied. The tuning of engine 4 is an all rounder set good for all genres of music. It is a well balanced inoffensive all day listen tuning with just enough excitement. Bass is a but bloated but in a good way. That bloat also leads to it being an all rounder in sound. I have well over a dozen chifi wired iems and 10 daps/dacs. Not many iems does that well as an all rounder and the engine 4 does a pretty good job. If they are an all rounder they will never be great in a specific genre, such as rock or classical. Comfort is excellent. Looks and build are fantastic.
I enjoy your straight forward reviews. These are my only Soundpeats earbuds and best sounding to date. Wish the mics were better and they carried the snake-skin look of the Buds onto the case vs. the slick fi nish. Also the pre-built EQs aren't the best so hopefully there is an update with better EQ options (I have the Custom EQ of course). Comfy overall but have swat them out several times outdoors when a horse fly tried to get me 😂😂 Definitely not a set for sleeping too. Thx!!
I have used many many earphones & TWSes in my life. I can confirm Airpods 2 pro are the best. Even if it is too expensive, extremely overpriced still, none of the other big or small brands compares its sheer comfort, noise cancellation along with good sound quality.
It lasts longer, has software updates, works best with IOS devices only.
I had those Airpods too but rn i will buy the engine 4s…do u think these will sound way worse than the pro 2s i had ?
I'm late but you guys are still great. I picked up the Capsule 3s just to see how they were and I sent them back should have listened to your advice oh well. Several reasons why but the biggest thing was they do not respond well to the EQ and not much bass. What a quirky product. Fun review thanks. From California 92 today 🥵👍🇺🇸.
Stay cool 😎 Mike!
I noticed you wearing truthear zero project red, how does it compare to engine 4?
I have a dozen chifi wired iems all with spinfits. I Used cp100 spinfits on engine 4, spinfits are expensive but the best. They will bring out the sound of iems since they articulate to your ear canal.
Fortunately, I watched this review after I got the engine 4. Else based on this poor review I would have missed out on a very good sounding budget buds.
These are one of the best sounding earbuds (with LDAC) for the price range.
Not all buds are meant to be judged on being all-rounder daily drivers meant for conference calls and ANC.
These earbuds have a specific usecase i.e to listen to music. And this is where these excel.
A fair review would have been: If you have an android phone with LDAC and priority is to listen to high quality music with great sound imaging; then go for these earbuds.
On the other hand, if you want ANC and need the buds for conference calls etc., then look at other options.
Also the main criticism in this review is the lack of IPX rating which is not true. Additionally, there are no connectivity issues after firmware updates.
All valid comments. These sound very good, no doubt.
Bro should i go with engine 4? Or soundpeats mini pro hybrid or mini pro hs?
Out of these 3, which one is perfect 4 gaming?
Plz reply
@@saadrashid4453 It has been a month, so I wonder if you have decided.
The *Engine4* espouses a special gaming setting with 70ms latency.
I went with the *Engine4* (currently shipping). I have a number of more expensive high-end earbuds, but because I am a heavy listener (almost all day and night with earbuds in) I find all batteries have a shelf life. And given how much I use them, I thought I'd try a less expensive option. My priorities being _music sound_ and _battery life._
@saadrashid4453 I have tried mini pro hs and engine 4. Both sound good. Out of these 2 engine 4 will be better for gaming (assuming you are able to use LDAC) as they are better with sound stage and clarity.
@@alisajjad2472 bro i purchased mini pro hs
Hopefully i made the ryt decision🙄
I have old T2. Love the sound/anc/trasp/battery but controls bugged.
Had Free2 Classic, great battery, bass but too shrill up top, and weird connectivity bugs.
These sound like same old Soundpeats - some truly great things - and bugs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Edit: Just got them, updated to latest fw 0.1.8 and have zero bugs.
Also the app (now?) requires no permissions except nearby devices. Registering with my throwaway email is no issue.
I guess Soundpeats is listening.
I'm impressed👍
Also the engine 4 complaint of not loud enough, your device under bt settings will have a "hidden" volume for Bluetooth that you can increase.
Superb review. Thanks for everything !!
So I m going through different earbud reviews by you and some other popular channels. I wanted to ask you DHRME, what earbuds can you suggest for a daily user that does not focus much on ANC but needs super baas when listening to music?
Edifier W240 TN vs Engine 4 ..
Which is better??
Doing Honest Reviews, Making Euphemisms 😍
Another honest review lads. My last and only SoundPeats, H1, died just a couple of months ago after little to no use so reliability is been an issue with Soundpeats for awhile. Until the reported issues are fixed I won't be purchasing another set of soundpeats anytime soon or ever tbh. Thanks Kevin and Rohan.
Cheers Hunter!
The earbuds marketplace needs clear 'segmentation'. Instead of trying to make one product that works reasonably well in almost all scenarios, these could be seen as excelling in a few niche applications.
Home theater
Studio
Office with low phone use, just background music
Content creators
Monitoring
'No phones allowed (or silent)' places
Not for
Heavy phone use
Outdoor urban
Outdoor weather
They make many different models, but don't clearly target market segments.
We have to learn e.g.
- bits that stick out and 6 mics mean better calling
They are not selling the specific benefits clearly.
In the low budget price nothing beats Earfun
Can you please tell me if sony xm5s are good for work/ business calls?
Also, how will be these for a student in general?
The Sony XM5 headphones have one of the BEST mics i've every used.
This worked on my phone, Windows PC, Macbook etc... these are great
headphones for work and business calls.
Great review, Thanks! SQ sounds interesting for the price but connectivity issues will be a dealbreaker if they remain unaddressed. In terms of features, I would prefer having a transparency mode to source switching, especially if doesn’t work with LDAC. Do you think that it is still impolite to keep your buds in ears while having a conversation?
Absolutely! Unless you're talking on a livestream. ;)
@@DHRME Let’s check back in five years and see if it is still bad manners. 🙂
@@GadZookz See you on the other side!
Thanks for the informative review guys!
Cheers Chad!
I see the truthear x crinacle zero red and I can trust all the words about anything
Tried on multiple devices, Switch to LDAC Adaptive and all drop issues will go away.
You guys are the best along with Kenneth Tanaka 😊😊😊
i own galaxy buds pro and i like them very badly and i broke them sadly . now i am planning to get me a sennhiser ie200 . can you tell me that can i get similar sound like galaxy buds pro by sennhiser ie200 because i want the same sound like galaxy buds pro in wired earphone . i will use it for movies and music listning [not an audiophile]
Thanks for your honest opinion. Too bad they don’t have IP rating. Hope they fix the connection issues soon.
Cheers Dennis! We got an update from soundpeats! They're IPX4.
What IEMs are those? Will you guys do any IEM reviews in the future?
Crinacle Red Project Zero
1 year later and they are now $48😢 trust me female vocals sound terrible I sold them
Hello DHRME, can you review the technics AZ80 and how will they compare to the best of the best? ❤❤❤
Ok!
I second this. Getting mine in a few days, can’t wait to test them out!
The AZ70 are one of my favorites for sound. Looking forward to a review on the 80s
I get your names mixed up. Who is the good looking one
Oppo Enco x2 vs OnePlus Buds Pro 2 What sound quality is better?
Enco X2
You have?
@@kaique4107 yup, been using for one year already. Clear and detailed sound
How much?
A very big surprise for me when this video comes out, anyway how would you rate the sound quality of Engine 4 and Opera 05?
Prefer the Engine.
@@DHRME A big thumb for you

Will work from 5 June
Low budget earbuds get low energy review🤣
👀
This review was low budget as well?? So boring this was!!!
Thanks for your feedback!
@@DHRME I'm sorry. I'm a lover of your videos. But this one wasn't fun.
@@someonewithsomename.4044 There's nothing to apologize about! :)
Hmmm. That nozzle is rather large...
BS. no problems with connectivity after firmware update. these are the best sounding Soundpeats at the moment. do not buy these for calling cus the mics are crap
H1 o engine 4??
@@cristianalvarez7220engine 4 for sound any day
Thier needs to be anc on this...major miss..seems that they quit in trying to push Thier anc tech forward... especially with the sorry effort on the operas
Give me some premium
6.7mm nozzle diameter?! Pass
They’re garbo
In my honest opinion these are low budget trash
Can you suggest anything good around 50$?

Okay, how?
@@okite374 poor quality microphone build quality is trash the sound signature is of not good quality the bass is muddy with little punch the treble is harsh and not quality but sound is subjective
@@hottube135 Ohhhh, thanks for the reply! Do you have any recommendations for earbuds at this price range? Idk if I should go with Soundcore or what as I don't really prioritise ANC & transparency
Hii , is there any other buds you would recommend at this price point or abit higher ?
