This how-to video explains how to replace a defective or faulty LCD screen on the mini XL media package central infotainment display CID.
This 8.8 inch type screen is fitted to various models with the XL media package mini model versions F55, F56, F54.

I'm curious if it is possible to remove the 6.5" LCD screen from the housing, and replace it with the 8.8" LCD instead? Or does the entire housing need to be replaced when attempting to upgrade to a larger display (in addition to the head unit in some instances)?
