I actually found the parry system almost perfect. Instead of seeing it as getting punished for the right reads, you're getting punished for reading a feint. Take Topodas flurry attack, it's jokingly easy to parry however when you do, he immediately responds with a punch that'll catch you if you went for the riposte.
The ingenuity of designs in this game is absurd. I was sold when i realixed the first bosses weapon is a guilitine made out of a u lock and a razorblade. Just amazing stuff
A little tip in case you come back to this game for dlc or something, you can use the grapple hook to reel in shells and ane when you don't have one on it auto equips it
For the parrys on the final boss instead of countering everytime I parried I just kept parrying until the last attack in the chain in order to build the capsize bar more
I never found the parry system to be that crucial in all honestly, I pretty much never used it unless by accident. But that might be cause I used the coconut + hammer all through out the game. So i just blocked and rolled everything to death
@@anthonyortiz350 well I think party because I didn't need to. It seemed like too much hassle when there where other easier starts. If the game forces me to do it, I would have probably learned it.
“I’ve already taken up too much time of yours today..” Nah Jazzy. I honestly wish you could take up more, but I’d rather you have fun and make quality content than rush and be miserable!
The parry system is supposed to be more like sekiro where it adds to the meter under health instead of dark souls where it is a full interrupt. The problem though is that for a full bar you just get one strong attack instead of a kill like sekiro so it feels less worth it for the extra difficultly
That first boss fight must be a cheeky reference to Sekiro's Gyoubu Oniwa Boss Fight, from the character, the weapon, voice and the fact that he is protecting the "gate". It's too damn funny
8:55 - its common name is 'tongue biting isopod' Honestly, my favorite part of Topoda's bossfight is that fact that basically every punch is, in fact, scientifically accurate
Jazzy giving us another banger video 4 days after bloodborne????This has completed my week and I can rest a happier man in lue of a 6 day work week ahead 😇. Always entertaining and hilarious Jazzy 🎉🎉
Picked this up the other day so I was absolutely buzzing to see the notification for this video! Top quality as always dude, keep up the awesome work❤️
Was hoping there was going to be a starfish enemy or character named Mr. Bateman. A clever double reference. This game definitely looks interesting. Will probably check it out. Nice to have you back Jazzy.
I learned a strat on the game that completely makes the game way fun So is find a shell With the ability Fortify And Just Block When Enemy Attack And then get a Attack buff And rince and repeat It honestly carried the entire game for me
I’m so glad I watched this video and then looked it up. I’m planning on doing my own streamed play through on my twitch over the next week or so depending on how I do. FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT DONT KNOW: This game is currently FREE on gamepass.
i remember watching ironpineapples video check him out btw he played the demo for this game so i thought huh it looks pretty colorful and bright compared to well how you described it so i think its nice we got a nice change of tone in the game ❤❤❤
Bro I had to level up a ways before killing the first boss 😂 that dude was whipping my butt. And then the boss with the first shell had me laughing from what he was saying
The devs really out did themselves. Not only did they the soul'sborne trope of having a eldrich horror as a final boss, but also just straight up have a solaire costume
im realizing how op the thimble is now that im watching other people struggle against certain bosses topodas multstrikes and teleport punch flurry got nothing on holding block with an indestructible shell, it cheapens the fight though if i have to be honest considering im pretty sure u can parry all of his moves
I love your vids man, I really enjoy them. Could I recommend you to play a game to grind? Its En Garde! . Its a short game and I think its worth a shot.
Hey, so umm, I just got the game today. I’m up to the part where you gotta face that crab that’s been possessed by one of those worms, The Ravenous. So apparently, there’s more than one of those worms lurking about in the sand, they can randomly grab you if you get too close. I accidentally lured The Ravenous too close and the worm insta-killed it. I did NOT deserve that win 😂
We played the same game right? This was my first souls-like I actually enjoyed, and it sounds like you really disliked the bosses. I loved all of them. The mantis shrimp was my favorite in the game and it sounds like you hated it. May I ask why? It’s a great fight with a great rhythm. Everything can be dodged in a way that feels fair yet challenging. During the firth fight it sounds like you don’t like parry counters. Both of these bosses can be partied twice in a row. It’s still parryable while being more difficult to parry. (The mantis shrimp particularly needed a parry counter because the rapid punch was essentially a free parry without it. Idk, I just find it strange that someone new to souls-likes gets less annoyed than someone who (I’m assuming at least) has played more of them. Edit: does Sifu count as a souls-like? It probably doesn’t, but I got a lot of my parry skills from that game.
I was told all the achievements can still be gotten with all the built in cheats on, is that true? Cuz if so it makes me kinda not care about geting them.
Of all the bosses in another crabs treasure I can say one hundred percent that Voltal is the weakest one in my opinion. The main reason for this is you can find a rubber band item which makes all her attacks do no damage plus unlike the other bosses she doesn’t move anywhere besides four corners of the area. But I still like her battle.
There's a lot of creativity in this game. I loved how they used human stuff as weapons. The unsheathing of the chopsticks was just perfection...
I actually found the parry system almost perfect. Instead of seeing it as getting punished for the right reads, you're getting punished for reading a feint. Take Topodas flurry attack, it's jokingly easy to parry however when you do, he immediately responds with a punch that'll catch you if you went for the riposte.
Yep, most enemies don't get knocked out of their attacks by a parry unless they have enough balance damage to capsize
intimidation crab knows the pain of those disposable chopsticks
they never split perfectly down the middle istg
Lol
Imagine if he actually got them to split perfectly like it's a rare event in each playthrough
Apparently it's a sign of misfortune, and an unlucky turn of events. Considering he died, I'd say he was pretty unlucky
"That's disgusting! Do it again!" might be my new favorite clip from the Pagurus boss fight 🤣
The ingenuity of designs in this game is absurd. I was sold when i realixed the first bosses weapon is a guilitine made out of a u lock and a razorblade. Just amazing stuff
What does a hermit crab call its home?.....Michelle
That was so disgusting it’s almost beautiful
I dont get it.

I love the little details, like the archer crabs using claw rubber bands as bows and the Mario brand cigarettes. Such a wonderful game
Why not use the parry system? One should make sure to enjoy everything out of a Game!
@@anthonyortiz350 well I think party because I didn't need to. It seemed like too much hassle when there where other easier starts. If the game forces me to do it, I would have probably learned it.

So with this done, what souls like should come next?
nah but really depends if you hate yourself you could always do the binding of Isaac 100%
oo wait actually rise of the ronin is still pretty new, LOTS of demand for a platinum
Definitely try Death's Door' Achievement grind, honestly one of the most enjoyable Achievement hunts I've ever done
Binding of Isaac isn't a soulslike @@goopguy548
Demon souls
Grade A Mussel Shucker -- 10/10 fishy insult
While very laggy at times, due to playing for hours without breaks, this was probably the most enjoyable 100% I’ve done for along time.
The boss: scream for me
Jazzy: ahhhhh
Should've found the rubber band before fighting the Eel boss, it makes you immune to electric damage.
Lol, that guard captain sounds so much like a space marine.
He reminded me of Bonesaw from the 2001 Spiderman film.
"Bonesaw is ready!"
So I'm not the one who thought about it huh.
Just imagine him yelling FOR THE EMPEROR
Weird, the captain reminded me of a quirked up angel wanting to kill a machine.

I've seen this game everywhere recently. And I had a feeling you'd grind it eventually.
*_It looks like adorable torture and I need it!_*
Welcome back Jazzy! It's awesome to see your Channel again!
A tip in case you play it again, use the mantis shrimp punch more. It does ridiculous damage and a lot of balance damage

Fun fact! Heikea is based on an actual crab thats called a samurai crab which are known for their shells looking like samurai faces.

@TheSonOfJazzy I'm thinking that Krill maybe your brudder from a nudder rudder xx
Maybe it's because I've been on a Lovecraft binge lately but I was really hoping for a Cthulhu themed boss
My one big issue is the bugs and it has a few of them, but with patches it should be fine in no time
