- I chose the Fisher and Paykel DH8060P 8 kg heat pump clothes dryer to revolutionize our laundry. It is a condensing closed-circuit tumble dryer, and replaces our conventionally heated and vented dryer.
**UPDATE** 17th May 17, I have just bought a matching Fisher & Paykel WH8560F FabricSmart front loading washer.
Had a demi-malfunction yesterday, the keypad was inoperable at the end of a drying cycle, I had to switch off, and then on again at the wall socket before keypad functionality resumed

If not connected to a drain pipe, how often does the condenser tank need emptied?
I empty it after each cycle
how has it held up since?
Recently had the drum support wheels replaced as they had become faulty (rubber tyres had come off), making the machine noisy.
Even though the condenser is protected by two filters, fine dust is liberally caked-on to it reducing airflow. When I get an E6 error, I brush the condenser off and vacuum the debris, but, I can't get to the inner. It will need some professional attention eventually... 😀

How's this one been going. Any issues? I found the dh9060 on clearance would you recommend? You had mentioned replacing some rubber feet and filter issues.
It's going well. You can't lose if you get one on clearance! The rubber wheels that support the rotating drum were replaced. I have to periodically clean the evaporator with a brush as fine particles make it past the filters and cause an E6 low flow alarm - I'm probably drying inappropriate/cheap clothing items

Hi Dave, I have the newer model 9kg Fisher & Paykel Heat pump dryer. It has an issue with noisy fan after 14 months old.
Is this common.

None at all. But the casing gets warm and this radiates some heat.
I agree with Dave, I have the latest model & unlike a vented dryer, it doesn’t turn the laundry in to a sauna - so I can dry my clothes without thinking I’m having hot flushes🥵lol. Oh, & no humidity!
