@@mathiasvries a few months later and come on wheelspin isn't close to losing control from going back into their old videos he has the car for about 10 years at which it's been this strong for lets say most of that 10 years so I think he knows the cars limit way better than you or anybody else he's more than capable of keeping it on the road as you saw through the whole video
Powertrain wise, this is an incredible technical achievement. Truly. The issue (and part of the charm) is that it's in a Golf MK1. With poor aero and massive chassis flex even with your roll cage. I dont know if you have added strut bracing and subframe bracing but that may help. In addition to checking how your suspension geometry is set up under load. You probably want to keep the car looking stock as it underlines the sleeper credentials, but a few tweaks may help. A boot lip or spoiler and discreet front skirt. Underbody flat panels, perhaps a discreet diffuser under the rear bumper to help aid with the aero stability when approaching 200 kph with that amount of power being put down. I'd definitely want to double check that front steering set up and geometry especially the front axle is also driven.

I was thinking pretty much the same. But my question is what sort of gearbox or transfer box can take that sort of power reliably. That's quite a feat in itself.

Aber mit Gegenverkehr sollte man es doch etwas sein lassen. Das ist nicht mehr kalkulierbar. Es geht immer mal etwas kaputt, wenn es zum Zeitpunkt nicht passt. Also eigentlich bei Vollgas-orgien und dann passt es nie. ;-)

#xTyler1997 : It re-defines the word sleeper actually with a roll bar, only 2 competition bucket seats, full electronic dash, custom shifter, alloys that are too big for the car, body that doesn't look right on those wheels, large and low stance.

Ich würde die volle Leistung nur auf leeren Abschnitten einsetzen, ohne andere zu gefährden.
wie soll man denn noch mit solch einem Auto wirklich Spass haben? viel zu leicht, viel zu schmal und viel zu klobig für soviel PS, das ist meine Meinung
Ist mehr was für die viertel Meile so ein auto.wenn man den Langstrecke heizt stirbt er eh den hitzetod würde ich vermuten!? Vom spritverbrauch mal abgesehen 😉

Kontrolle? Ich finde er hat das Ding gut unter Kontrolle. Wenn du nicht fahren kannst macht das nen Abflug aber er kriegt das schon hin. Ist nur n bisschen heftig für die Landstraße. Ich hätte es aber auch gemacht. Bin da nicht so.

0:30 it boggles my mind sometimes how someone can get so much power from such a tiny engine. 576HP per liter. 288HP per cylinder. It's insanity, but I love it. One cylinder of this car puts out three times the power of the entire engine of my daily driver, and this car is a little smaller than my daily driver too lol.

+V1LKA5LT It would be probably start from 35.000-45.000€ or so. It is cheaper to buy a fast stock car than something like this. A lot is hand-crafted here. Starting from the 4 wheel drive, for example. However, I find this car amazing, simply love mk1 and mk2 Golfs! ^^,
