I think that people should read into this case further as she got very little of money. The Cuban government didn't contest the case and she won by default. However, since Cuba at that time was a rogue state there was no way to get the money awarded so she had to go after assets in the US. I think anyone who thinks "well she got 27m$ so where's the problem?" should think about how angry you might feel if someone lies to the point that nothing is real. I think that most people would feel violated in her position.

I agree this young woman who's 29 that I know just married a man who is from Guatemala. When she met him online he was living illegally in Chicago Illinois. After visiting him a few times she flew to Guatemala and married him and now is trying to get him to Canada. It's who they are, as a person and how much time you get to really get to know them. The seemingly perfect people, who come to sweep you off your feet and are ready to marry way too fast, without getting to know much eachother, that's a red flag on its own. In 2005, President George W. Bush ordered she be paid nearly $200,000 from frozen Cuban accounts. Her attorneys also seized a couple of Cuban airplanes hijacked by refugees who sought political asylum in the Keys. But that's all she got. Now Ana Margarita is suing eight Miami-based charter companies that book direct flights to Cuba in order to garnish fees paid to a company called Havana Tours, which handles air travel to and from the country. Her lawsuit, filed in Miami-Dade circuit court, claims Havana Tours is indirectly owned by the Cuban government. This greedy woman is just trying to make tons of money off this whole affair.

Because the USA can pressure Cuba. Cuba might think they don’t need USA but they depend on them, either by charity funds or tourists. That is one of the reasons Cuba have opened up and and now is dealing with the USA now. And it was not about money but about power, and we all know Cuba in the end has to bow down to the USA.
