Amazing video as always, Richard. I suggest using deeper bins for your isopods as for me at least, my ‘pods did far better when I moved them into bins with a greater depth, since they will take advantage of the extra burrowing room.

What an awesome and efficient space! It all fits perfectly together like a puzzle… and that can’t just be by chance or luck… did you have someone help you design the space? Or was it more of a trial and error/labor of love type of thing? I find it really inspiring how you have taken a hobby/interest, worked your ass off and found a way to make a living by doing what you love🖤🕷️
Thanks! I did it all by myself, from painting walls to setting up lights and enclosures. I do have a few friends that come by weekly to help water and feed and stuff. Mostly it is just trial and error and setting up stuff to go with the workflow and then changing it a couple months later...lol.
Hey I just wanted to comment and tell you. A few years ago I started watching you and I was so scared of tarantulas and spiders… and oh my gooodness. I started slowly thinking they were so cute!! I told myself after a move I will get a baby t. It’s been a year now my baby grammastola pulcra is a lot bigger now. I have a jumping pantropical house spider. Her name is pugsley and Wednesday ended up being a boy so it fits. And then I have a Arizona blonde Solaris !! I LOVE MY 8 LEGGED BABIES. Thank you for educating me. And making me see what I’m missing out. I love my babies. Thank you. I wish I could pet em but they don’t care for that and I understand very much!! XD I’ll just make sure their tummies are always full and they have clean water and that’ll be my love

Awesome tour and thank you so much for sharing. I watch a lot of your videos for care guides on tarantulas. And I have learned a lot from you. Thank you. I am new to the hobby although I do have 16 reptiles, and I do breed numerous feeders. Within the last year I got in to tarantulas. My question for you would be do they prefer darkness to light? I have two slings and they are mostly borrowing so I'm not worried about them but my two pink toed tarantulas I'm just not sure if I should black out the sides of their enclosure or just stick to blacking out the back side (if that makes sense🤪) they are in 8 x 8 x 12 glass, exoterra type enclosures.
