- *I am rather unwell despite the perky demeanour. I need to go outside and eat a bunch of vegetables. I am taking a powder this week as far as live streaming goes. I ought to bounce back with legit vigour. Been a bit overstimulated meeting all ya and it's fun! But I am off my routine and things are going sideways.*
But look what Joel sent me! I need to straighten out the power for them and get them under the desk so I can start using my new toys.

I totally relate to the migraines. Every couple years as a kid I would be sent thru the rounds of doctors to try to figure why I have such bad & constant headaches. End result was always them saying “you have migraines, try this medication or that medication… good luck.” Nothing worked. Eventually I just developed a protocol of water, rest & meditation to ‘get thru’. Not many people can relate to headaches that can last days. I’m truly sorry that this is something you deal with as well, Liz.
I’m surprised by the people saying they have had such similar experiences. I am sorry you have them too.
It is a bit of a ….dismissed condition? “Just a headache”
Did you ever have to go to the ER with them? That’s extra crappy. It’s just a headache after all. But when it’s a blue ribbon 5 alarm cracker that’s been sitting on you for a week… and you can’t eat or drink…. still….. “Just a headache. “

Like you I did my coping. I used a lot of maxalt. An acute med that usually helps me. But not always.
By the way.. you’re in America right? I was in America for 6 months in 2022. I ran out of Maxalt. And I had packed as many as I was allowed to be given for a 6 month trip. I ran out. I discovered Maxalt is crazy expensive in America. Wound up getting some medical coupon? (What?) and it brought the 4 tablets down to 30$. They were around 300$ USD before that. Absolutely shocking.
It took me getting angry and focused on being my own hero. I kept a detailed diary of all my symptoms and what was going on in my life what I was eating or doing.. or not doing. Anything amiss. Then when I would see neurology, I would have a detailed sheet breaking down the number of days out of the year I was affected by them. All the symptoms that I had that I thought might be a part of this. And I would push for help. I told them that it feels like we are running around putting out fires and allowing the underground fires to rage. We tried many meds but..
I did start Ajovy injections and it has been a game changer. I really was the most surprised. I had a migraine for the majority of 2022 and 2023. Probably my worst years with them.
Ajovy is also crazy expensive in America. :(

Not that this is a permanent cure, but have you tried blu block glasses? Helps tremendously with the blu light from our phones & screens that emit ungodly amounts of radiation & cause headaches among other things. My sunglasses I wear all the time are prescription & have blu block protection. My headaches stopped when I got them. That’s why I wear them 🙏

I am not having them as frequently since I stared the ajovy injections. But when I fall off the wagon of health and self care I can run into trouble.
Do you get vestibular ones too? I’m guessing you get the ocular attacks. I’ve been having those since age 12.
Kinda feeling another video coming on. Because the migraines have been kinda suspiciously taking over my life at the time the voice went down. And I’m no doctor (clearly) but I am thinking neurological things around the head area… could it be connected? I have been met with dismissive responses to this. But… could it be? Just curious.
I only just learned about the vestibular migraines. I have been so dizzy and sick… last year I did tests to rule out Ménière’s disease.. in the end it wasn’t that. So the neurologists say it must be vestibular migraines.

I have had Migraines for a long time 30+ Year's, and have never got a med over the counter or prescription to work for me, maybe this info will help, but they are prescribed meds and are placed on the tongue or under the tongue witch works best for me and it desolves fast and I have good luck with it.

Oh Ryan I’m sorry you get them too but happy you found something that is helping.
I have been having them for a long time too and it has been quite disruptive.
I had also struggled to find anything that helped even a little bit. Over the counter was absolutely ineffective. The prevention medicines (long list) only gave me side effects.
My doctor and I found that I respond well to Maxalt which is similar to your tablets. Acute meds that you take when you feel it coming on. Also a dissolving under the tongue tablet. I was taking them so often for so long… But I found a neurologist who had me try Ajovy injections (monthly). I have been on it for several months and so far it’s greatly improved my quality of life.
