Thanks a bunch Marshal. I'm a 13-year-old in India, I love drawing and hope to become a concept artist. I'm using this video to help me write my short comic. Also where did the draftsmen podcast go?
Hi Tanish. Sorry about the Draftsmen Podcast "going", but it's still all there for free and I'm now working on courses. I hope you like this one - and I think it will help you write your short comic. For story, this is the best I can do as an overview for the likes of you. More in the works...
Hello Marshall I hope this message finds you well. I'm a big fan of your work, and I've been following your tutorials for quite some time. Your expertise in character design is truly inspiring. I've been struggling with creating character turnarounds, especially when it comes to understanding shapes and forms in three dimensions. I find it challenging to maintain consistency from various angles and dynamic perspectives . Every time I attempt a turnaround, I find myself stuck and confused, particularly with aspects like the length and shape of the chin and nose from a side view. Maintaining consistency becomes a significant challenge, and my characters end up looking different from various angles. Please make a corse on that Considering your mastery in character design, I would love to see a course from you that focuses on this aspect-guidance on understanding shapes and forms in 3D and ensuring character consistency from any angle. Your insights into drawing and thinking about these details would be immensely valuable. I believe many artists, including myself, would greatly benefit from your expertise in breaking down the complexities of character and animal turnarounds. Your unique teaching style could provide a solid foundation for artists struggling with similar challenges
Deepak, The closest I have to that is in some of the Bridgman sessions, particularly session 5 at ruclips.net/video/99GUz3FWTRM/видео.html But you are already learning one important thing - that it is - by attempting it! There must be videos by pros who take you through complete turnarounds, one step at a time, but I do not know of them. If anyone reads this and can send Deepak to a resource, do! Some 3D modeling helps. Deepak, you may want to ask the question on a platform (like the Proko forum) where others are seeking the same info. I'm not sure that an intro to story video like this is your best forum for the horizontal technicalities of character turnarounds!
Marshall is my favorite art teacher online both in explanation and in examples of work.
IM A BIG FAN MARSHALL
