I feel like there’s a certain amount of people in this world who enjoys watching someone clean shit out of thier trailer…and I’m one of them😂 great video as always Dallas!
You are the subject matter expert, I am not here to critique your work, I am here to watch GREAT CONTENT. I do have a couple of questions, if you don't mind. Is the facility you use for your company?, and when you have to use wood chips, does it cause more issues when cleaning? Does cleaning count against your rest time, and finally, what company requires you to have an almost spotless hauler. As I said, you are the subject matter expert, and you are taking the time to share your knowledge with us subscribers, so keep up the GREAT WORK.
The washout facilities are owned by other businesses or people who don’t haul livestock. Some ranches and feedlots, even packing plants have they’re own as well. The pumps that filter the waste can handle the wood chips, there are sometimes extra charges. There’s lots of places that require really clean trailers, but they will specify that beforehand. And my hours of service rules are really different from the avg driver so no it doesn’t count against off duty time
Just depends on how bad the trailer condition is where to start first. If the temperature is below 27. I will start on the bottom. Get the muck out fast starting from the back. Soon as the water hits you only have mins before it turns to ice. Usually I start soon as walking in pre soak walls on the way in at the top, rinse all muck out. Do the same on the bottom. With just the hose, no spray tip. Then put spray tip on. It all come off quick. I can have a bull wagon done in under 1 hour. We had one last night that had not been cleaned in over 6 months. It was like tar tryin to get out. The auger the recycles the water was having a hard time. Had it do under two hours. There id no reason any bull wagon should take more then 2 man hours. Unless you are trying to use a pressure washer. Seaboard foods uses pressure washers. It just makes a bigger mess. High volume is the only and best way to push weight. Simple math will tell you that. Much respect to you Dallas and all in this business. Not easy money feeding the world.
That’s a real man right there...No gloves...No nothing..Just get in there and clean the crap and get out...First thing a city slicker would have to do after they pass out...Is put on a full Hazmat suit
Back in the day you would of been on the TV show the world's dirtiest jobs with Mike Rowe. You really have your job cut out for you! What happens to the run off?
You talked about what they charge to clean it all out for you, but what is the cost for you doing it yourself and are these clean out locations numerous. Thanks
Hey brother man ✌️ I remember a few videos ago you said you wanted to stay a bit more active and all. How have you been doing with that? As a fellow driver, I do know about the struggles of keeping fit and healthy while sitting alot of the day. Keep the rubber side down my guy! 💪👊
I thought you didn’t like muck boots? I’ve been looking around trying to find some good boots and I’m having a hard time finding good boots my size and I’ve heard so many mixed things about muck idk if the price is worth finding out for myself.
@@VaughnDallasVance are those different then the other just “Muck Boots” I’ve seen online? I’m prolly going to get me some cheap Walmart ones or something to start out with since I gotta buy a hot shot and rattle paddle and stuff also but I’m really looking for a high quality boot that is going to last for the money
well.. atleast they're probably one of the best cleaned trucks in business.. they're required to do it lol. Not that much rust I would guess? if driven in salt.
Have you checked at trailer washouts to see what they charge. Sometimes your better off doing it yourself ya do a better job. The cow pies are definitely better than pigs in my opinion bud. Stay Safe 👍🇺🇸

Great work, keep up the great videos and work you do. Question do you haul Cattle or Hogs
I haul both
What kind of pump is that hose connected to? That sucka moves alot of water with some pressure.
I don’t know the specifics of the pump but it’s at least a 100hp electric motor that pressurizes the water. It’s very powerful

Do you leave everything on the ground or do you have to wash that all down?
What happens with all that? Pumped into a honeywagon?
Good stuff btw!!
It flows into a settling pond
Is there a holding tank to use the manure as fertilizer for fields or gardens, it works great
Yes there’s a settling pond where manure is repurposed for fertilizer

The run off is collected in a settling pond and repurposed into fertilizer
@@VaughnDallasVance Thanks for that info!

Do you ever use degreaser or aluminum brightener?

I’m down 10 pounds from my January weight. 248 in January I’m 238 now

I wear muck boots loading and unloading and with washouts the brand I use is called “the original muck boot company”

Great job work of a wash done
I never knew cattle trailers were so complex. Never had occasion to work on one.

Been a while since I’ve been on the ranch but it’s all I can smell watching this. 👍

Zepp makes a cleaner that will give you a nice clean trailer
It’s cheaper to do it myself. Unfortunately some states don’t have self serve options and I’m forced to pay double it seems
you need some of those plastic lens for your camera. like jockeys do with goggles, on a sloppy track.
How come you don’t broom out the real dry stuff? Save some money on the washout.
A good chunk of it is stuck to the floor still
All I see is pink eye and whatever you can catch when animal poop lands on ya lips! Come on my guy be safe
atom waste suit, in case of a splash back.
if you were going to have someone else wash it out how much would you pay?
Gr8 Washout Footage
How many trucks do u have ? Is that truck parked also yours?
2 trucks
Thank God I can't smell through a screen
What a shitty job. HaHa
Still no gloves or safety glasses.
