Another Covid-19 lockdown project for 2021. I hope it provides a laugh during another (so far) tough year. This tribute pretty much showcases the physical comedy of Jared Keeso which really adds depth to his character, Wayne.

Whoever the DoP on Letterkenny is, has definitely watched some Edgar Wright comedies. Framing can be funny. Things entering and leaving the frame can be funny.
Especially since he's completely average height. Show makes him seem 6'5" lol.
Wayne's morals and sense of whats right is what I appreciates the most about him. And of course the way he says barley.

Additionally, the absolute best thing about Wayne standing up underneath the beam at 00:35 is that he stays like that for the rest of the scene

Does anyone remember the American humour magazine, The National Lampoon (written by many Canadians as well)? And does anyone remember the comic strip therein titled, "Timberland Tales," written and drawn by B.K. Taylor? It featured a cast of Canadian archetypes such as, Dr. Rogers, Kathleen, Maurice the "Indian Boy" (some call him the "Joker") and, my favourite, the RCMP Constable Tom (rumoured to have a small amount of brain damage). Timberland Tales was pretty much a precursor to "LetterKenny;" same kind of dry, prairie humour, love of word play, lots of rustic jokes, an undercurrent of twisted sex and Wayne bears a striking resemblance to Const. Tom - same somewhat stunned look around the face, especially the narrow eyes. The framing of the show, what they call the "mise-en-scène" is very reminiscent of cartoon panels as well. Anyone? Anyone?
I do! Thanks to wokeness nothing made in America is truly humorous anymore though. “Animal House” is still one of the finest pieces of cinema ever made.
