There is another talented female singer out there 14 year old Daneliya Tuleshova from Kazakhstan. I am not going to say much except what this show pulled on Angelina, they also did to Daneliya. If there is one song to listen to that embodies Daneliya's ability, I feel, it is a Birdy cover, ' Not About Angels'. I will leave you the link so you can hear it. You won' t be wasting your time. She signed with Republic Records 2020, the same label as Amy Winehouse, Taylor Swift, and Ariana Grande. Her manager and uncle, Michael Astar, explained that AGT had been trying to get her to perform on their show for some time (the entire music industry has known about her since she won Norway's Got Talent at age 8 in 2014), and that he had to convince them that if she performed on their show she would not be contractually bound. I believe that this may have had something to do with her not winning, but I will leave it at that.
Angie never lost composure in her performances. Not even in that video where her sister was crawling all over her trying to throw her off😂
This young lady is the definition of "humble"
This isn't just an Angelina performance, it was the grand finale, not for the competition of the show. All 3 of these performers had competed on the show. This performance was meant to reflect the talents of all 3 artists and in my opinion they combined to create a very beautiful performance!

Angelina is a very humble person, happy to share the stage with the other artists. As you say, just close your eyes and listen to Angelina, the quality of her vocals is on another level.
Angelina is uber-composed, no matter where she is or what's going on. She's been that way since age 7. It's insane. I hope she records this song again, without all the distractions! Love her voice on this. She didn't win AGT because her management team wouldn't agree to a contract with Simon Cowell, thus her signing a few months later with Republic Records, where she'll have the freedom she needs. If you can belive it; - Angelina was lucky on this. Chaos actually was on part 2 of the grand final. All the rest of the finalists appearing at the same time. Singer, dance-groups, dog acts and trapes artist, all around the stage along some magic acts. Angelina was acompanied with one other competitor, the violinist. The sandartist was invited to take part on this part of the show only. So this performance was not included in the competition of the AGT-C at all.
The "sand lady" is actually immensely talented. She is able to illustrate an entire story in a few minutes by transforming one image to another.
I do believe that the other two performer's had enhanced Angelina's performance. Angelina is a beautiful singer. I can't say enough about her. I would definitely pay to see these three who compliment each other in concert. I would definitely see Angelina in concert. But man all three together. Wow!!! I thought this was her...best performance on AGT. And yes all three performances brought me to tears. She is definitely God's gift on earth. But Don't take anything from the other two.

Angelina touches my heart and soul and so often brings strong floods of emotion and in turn tears, but watching your reaction has brought tears to my eyes through absolute streams of laughter, brilliant uplifting reaction. And of course she sings this song at a level never reached by anyone before!

Thanks for another reaction with Angelina. This performance was made, after the AGT final, when everything had already been decided, is an Angelina's fantastic reinterpretation, but is also a wonderful joint performance by 3 artists, very different from each other, however integrate wonderfully, with a beautiful choral performance, even if it distracts from Angelina's voice, just close your eyes. Her voice is, once again, surprising, certainly much more emotional and powerful than Lewis's version. 😊❤️

The golden buzzer brought Angelina to the final, but I don't like this final. The show was stolen from her. Simon was frustrated because she didn't want to sign. Hats off to Angelina, how cool and beautiful she put this behind her. She is the best.
She finished 6th out of 10 contestans iirc. AGT the champions dont have regular voters but they have selected so called super fans who decides the winner. It would make an awesome quiz question, name the 5 artists/acts that where placed before Angelina Jordan on AGT the Champions =)
She was actually unclassified having been eliminated when they decided to pare the final 10 down to 5 by introducing head-to-heads. Angelina lost out in her head-to-head with Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy, meaning she was in the bottom five of 10 in no particular order. The top five were then announced in order of merit. Under this flawed system it is possible to poll more votes than any act placed 2 to 5 and nevertheless finish outside the top 5 by virtue of being pitted in a head-to-head with the most popular act. I closely followed the public opinion polls throughout AGT and, unless the so-called superfans, supposedly chosen to reflect the tastes of Amercans coast-to-coast, were totally unrepresentative of those tastes, there is no way that those five acts, one of which failed to significantly affect the opinion polls even on the week their performance was aired, would be assessed above Angelina. However, the point is moot since IMO there never were any voters, superfans or otherwise. The show was a PR exercise designed to schmooze burgeoning markets for a format that had lost its mojo in the West.
@@way2deep100 yeah i have my doubts if there were any so called voters too. But Angelina got what the attention of a whole new audience which i think was her plan from the very start. From what i read from her uncle and manager Michael Astar they made AGT give Angelina a special deal and not the standard regarding rights and stuff.
@@MrTombre Yes, I thought it was telling during her pre-performance talk that the interviewer asked whether Angelina had to think about accepting the invitation. Most would presume that any contestant would jump at the chance and not even ask such a question but he seemed to know she was the exception. Her enigmatic and tactful, "I thought about it." confirmed what many already suspected.
Simple answer to the question "is she the greatest singer ever".... a resounding YES.
the sand artist said in an interview that she was a little shocked that angelina didn't win...there is a version with crowd noise edited out. this was where agt pairs 2 current contestants with a previous contestant not to be judged...

This performance is one of the few times that Angelina didn't have control of the song choice or the arrangement. Here is a link to some actual rehearsal footage for this performance and you can see that someone else is managing the arrangement. However, both Angelina and Tyler, the violinist were great! This Angelina performance was not part of the competition but just a way of combining three very talented artists to create an incredible experience for the audience. I prefer to just listen to Angelina on headphones and not watch the video. Angelina as always, gives a highly emotional performance of a beautiful song. Team Angelina refused to sign any contract with Simon, including the rights for the 3 songs she performed on the show. No one (outside of AGT and Team Angelina) know for sure if she was unable to win the contest because no contract was signed.
Queen was so impressed with Angelina's version of Bohemian Rhapsody they allowed her to copyright her version :)

That was an awesome reaction guys. The 2nd time I've watched this video and I really was rolling on the floor. But so happy you found Angelina and you get why she is so loved. Thank you for sharing again.
As you watch "Someone You Loved" you see the audience is completely captivated by AJ, and AJ alone in this performance. This is evident as she hits the high notes and they applause. I was at first disappointed that others were on the stage with her but soon it was apparent they did not matter, as usual she was in complete control with her ethereal being.
Angelina sets the standard for composure you got that right
So this is an end-of-show extravaganza that AGT sometimes produces. It started with Jackie Evancho and Sarah Brightman singing "Time to Say Goodbye" together in 2010. Check it out. And ignore the ignorant thumbs down -- great, fun reaction!

I'm glad you didn't tear into the little boy playing the violin so beautifully, like you did the amazing sand artist. The entire theme is talent. She chose those people to be with her. Very artistically done by all 3 amazing artists. I think, unlike other reactors, you don't seem to do any research and therefore, tend to laugh at the unknown. The audience is enjoying the beauty of the moment, which you are finding hilarious. Laughter is good for the spirit.
There are a *lot* of reactors who deliberately do no research so that the reaction is completely blind. If you were listening they didn’t “tear into” the sand artist. They acknowledged that she was brilliant. They laughed at the setup and the surprise. They were there to react to Angelina. Like you said, laughter is good for the soul.
I was shocked to see them laughing and complaining and knocking the talent of someone else. Such bad behavior.
@@foreverdawn2974 life is too short to be shocked by something like that. They were expecting Angelina and were caught off guard. Nobody’s feelings were hurt and they acknowledged the sand artist’s talent on multiple occasions.
@@mrpeppery I found out life is too short when my brother was murdered. I had forgotten about this post from earlier today already, so it's not like I'm sitting here stewing about it. I highly disliked their reaction. Making fun of someone then turning around and changing their minds doesn't change the fact they weren't very nice - and being just "nice" these days is the least people can be. Peace. ✌

If you watch it a second or third time, you might actually see a great combined performance.
I'm a pretty close fan of Angelina and you are the only reactors I've come across who instantly saw how silly it was to place her with two other acts. On their own they were fine and you were kind and generous in your remarks while expressing the same bewilderment that many of us felt upon seeing Angelina smushed together with other artists for her last piece. AGT here is showing the worst instincts of its executives run amok. As you suggested, if juggler had been available we would have seen them too. AGT treated Angelina with little respect once Simon understood that she would not be signing with his label.
It's like no one heard you compliment the sand lady several times.

I like the balance between you two...serious and sincere (her) to a little bit challenging and irreverent (him). It works. I'm glad you covered Angelina...she's really talented. Would love to hear you react to a cappella group, Home Free. They have a range from hauntingly beautiful in their cover of Crosby, Stills and Nash's, "Helplessly Hoping," to silly and hilarious with their "Butts Remix," or "Sea Shantys." Fan favorites are their "Ring of Fire," "Folsom Prison Blues," and "Man of Constant Sorrow." Their bass has a 5 octave range...really something.

I think you will adore Angelina's originals: '7th Heaven' (studio version), 'Million Miles', 'Shield', 'Oslo' and 'What is life'. Also 'A song for A' composed by Nico Cartosio to be sung by her for his instrumental album Melting. Her last covers are: 'When you believe' by W. Houston/M.Carey, 'Heal the world' by M. Jackson and 'All I ask' by Adele. If you want to see how she worked with the Jazz Band when she was about 9 years old see her jamming with 'Portrait of a child' (Screaming Jay Hawkins's 'Portrait of a man'). She always arranged the songs since she was 7, and often changed the lyrics to be more appropriate to her age. If you want something funny see 'When you're smiling' (MV by her grandma Mery Zamani). If you want to hear her low register see 'How great thou art' for example. Or you can jump to her performances on NGT that she won with 8 years old with astonishing Jazz covers.
By the way, I recommend you to react to Haik documentary and concert from Aurora. The documentary shows us some interesting details of Aurora, and the concert was performed in the wood where Aurora used to go alone into her childhood to find herself and her thoughts.
You guys are the first reactors who’ve said what I think. All of this other stuff, is cool, but it detracts from her performance. She didn’t win this season, and while I think she got robbed, it turned out great for her. Too bad the audience seemed fixated on the sand artist

I dont understand what is so funny about this performance as each performer is doing his or her part to enhance the song in question. Its weird interpretation to say that Angelina is angry that these two people are on the stage since the singing, the drawing on sand and the violin all contribute to the overall mood of the song in question.
Agree completely, on the most sensitive parts of the song, the audience clapping and cheering, absolutely impossible to be in the sentiment, however, she did....
This is exactly what bothered me about the hybrid performance. I know her drawing was amazing and tried to be relevant to the narrative of the song, but it took what could have been a beautiful, poignant vocal performance and made it into a bit of a circus. Angelina knows how to inject emotion into a song like that and connect with the audience and that was lost. But not through any fault of Angelina *or* the sand art lady.
You're going to catch a lot of flack for laughing and the sand sculpture joke..and just before you said, where are the jugglers, that is exactly what l thought...if l weren't an Angelina fan and had seen this, l would have laughed too! But because l know the history of this moment, my response was anger when l first saw it live on tv. This was a 3 ring circus. It disrespected all 3 artists. The sand artist was just happy to be on, but l felt sorry for Tyler, the violinist, because he was hoping for a career from this show. Angelina, gracious as always, with her vibrato genius, performs in focus. Loved your reaction. Please keep it up! Also, l don't know if you really regard requests. But a great one for guys to react to would be " Angelina rehearsing" La boheme ", while her little sister is lovingly torturing her while she practices. She absolutely stays in focus. Angelina and Tyler (violinist) are both 14 he's a survivor of acute lymphoblastic leukemia a children's cancer he's been in remission for 4 years.
Well that was fun! Your reaction makes a lot more sense than the programming of that stupid show. Yes, Ksenia is brilliant, but that doesn’t mean you should put Angelina Jordan on stage with a quiet ballad in front of a distracted and noisy crowd. And while the violin works beautifully in the solo, having it play almost through the whole song just makes for a weird arrangement. So you have three good artists haphazardly thrown together on stage, with Angelina getting the worst of it. And STILL she sings beautifully!
You guys are awesome. Yea...distraction overload. She didn't win and truly the intent was not to win and fall under the Simon Cowell business machine. This was her introduction to the American audience and the world. Smart move.

Thanks for the latest episode of Musicians React featuring Angelina Jordan. I agree that the sand painting was pretty distracting but Sean cracked me up since it was driving him crazy. Angelina does have a fabulous voice.

Angelina was 6'0" tall here, barefoot. Terry Crews is 6'3" for a reference and he had shoes on. I don't know when the show started this practice, but ut is called a showcase. It is a non-judged performance. The show Dimash was on in China called, I Am Singer has the same format. There though, the contestant or contestants pick their partners. There was some political payback by Simon on Angelina. She tod him from the beginning that she was not going to sign with him if she won. But Angelina got what she really needed, exposure to America. Two months or so later she signed a Preferred Artist contract with Republic Records and kept all rights to her music. Don't expect a lot from Angelina until her education is completed and she can be as normal as possible. She and her team, Mom, Grandma, her baby Sister and finally Uncle Michael who quit his job, a very good job, to manage Angelina's career, which he knew nothing about.Angelina is one of my three favorite female vocalist on the planet. The other two are Daneliya Tuleshova 14 of Kazakhstan, and Morissette 24-25 from the Philippines.

I actually am totally with you about the distracting affect of the painting! It was meant to be a group performance but I feel as though the visuals are too much, and I've probably watched this amillion times now.. Yes the sand painter is talented but I would have preferred just AJ and the violinist Tyler Butler-Figueroa. There is a version of this out there where the sound has been cleaned up so you don't hear the audience so much. Worth a listen!!
This performance was recorded while the top 3 performers where together on stage during the Champions, AGT. The performances were intertwined. This wasn’t a good selection if you only want to focus on Angelina.

Everyone thinks Tyler Butler-Figueroa is _so_ young, but I'm pretty sure he and Angelina are less than 2 years apart in age.
She's drawing in sand a story to match the words of the song; the other two are her competitors.
"It's a man's world" is also very popular. There are two versions, one's with a military band, audio and film quality is so-so, and another one is a recording from her concert in Kongsberg, there's no visual performance, but the audio quality is good. I personally like the Kongsberg version better (the electric guitar player had a nice solo there in the end), others like the military band version better.

There happens to be a RUclips video of just Angelina's voice with Tyler the violinist doing Someone You Loved. What they did was take the TV show audio, removed most of the background noise, and eliminated the performance video. Lyrics were added onto a fixed image. Ergo, you can listen to Angelina's voice without all the other distractions and your major complaint has been eliminated. Can it get better than this? Of course not, unless Angelina decides to give us another gift by singing another song just by herself with no distraction.
She did not win this competition for the following reasons:
1) Her family refused to sign a contract with Simon and, therefore, destroy the talent of this music prodigy.
2) IMO, NBC TV is the most dishonest broadcasting company in the USA. They have known that the AGT is a rigged program because the winner is chosen ahead of voting by so called “superfans”, and they do not do anything about it because of rating. Simon came up with “superfans” idea because he wanted to recruit winners who could be used for Las Vegas shows. There are numerous videos on YT proving why the AGT is a rigged joke.

I feel that AGT does a disservice to all the acts by combining them on the stage like this.

Two hundred and twenty eight posts and the few I read, one has to get tired of the insults at some time!! Your posted video and you not only have the opportunity but the right to "delete" and "bar" at will.
On an added note, I am sure someone has enough smarts to inform rather than waste your time but just in case all 228 are guilty of such, this episode on AGT was a consolation prize. The 3 performers here, the painter and violinist and Angelina performed as one after losing each of their rounds. Hopes this explains the why's of this performance.

I'm a huge AJ fan so I am happy you love her as well, but I think she would be very disappointed to your over all reaction and disrespect you showed the sand artist. Watching this reaction was like watching two kids in the 6th grade making fun of the other class mates. Jeesh.
And you're the hall monitor. What disrespect did they show the sand artist? "The sand lady is super talented", he said. I think you should lighten up.
It was sad that they did that to Angelina having her sing with those other two with your good but it took away from Angelina's performance and it took the attention off of Angelina and put attention on the other two that was there it's been speculated that it was done deliberately because she didn't sign with Simon Cowell which is why even after the event they never promoted her on RUclips.
