"If people don't want us to cheat, then why are songs bout cheating so much better than songs about not cheating?" And just like that, monogamy has been destroyed.
i want monogamy
I thought you said mahogany 😭. THATS MAHOGANY
@@gregoriodelpilariii2682 same. i think they’re joking.. hopefully. everyone wants to cheat and have whoever they want but wait til they meet someone with the same mindset or logic 😭 they’re gonna be the one crying and they won’t be lusting to the cheating songs but the heartbreak songs written by people cheated on ☹️
@@gregoriodelpilariii2682 you can have it for you without using it as a standard to punish others. If something make you happy you don't need to force it onto others. By the way, life and relationships, humans in general are more complex than black and white purist morals..
@@davidzubiria3783 i just said i want monogamy i didnt say i dont like the idea of polygamy lol cheating bastard did try to call it "polygamy" when he started seeing someone else behind my back so thats that
I'm so happy that we live in a time where unapologetically loving Taylor Swift is not being mocked and the general public finally appreciates her artistry and contributions to the world of music
God, same.
Amen
Yesssss!!!!!!!! ✨✨
I dont trust gp anymore, cause ive seen them love Taylor for 1989 after bashing her for too many boyfriends during Red, and we know what came next. Im just glad the community of fans will always be there.
@@tapiocapearl0304 and YOU WERE RIGHT. This week has been TOUGH on twitter.
Julia: uploads ranking every Taylor song
Taylor: FOLKLORE
Julia: ok time to remake the list with folklore
Taylor: EVERMORE
deadass i was almost expecting her to put out something the day after this video came out lmao
Julia: throws a curve ball and manages to make a large chunk of the video o about evermore
Taylor: FEARLESS + 6 BONUS TRACKS
Still not super into Taylor's music, but Julia sitting in front of her computer with a pint of ice cream while excitedly listening to an album for the first time is probably one of my favorite moments in a RUclips video in 2020. 10/10 wholesome af.
this comment made me smile
@@juliacudney i almost read that comment as: "this comment made me a swiftie" im think im too obsessed with taylor swift anyways i ranked evermore from worst to best tracks.

@@madonnaswift4768 tlgad is storytelling at its peak, how could you put it so low I-? Cardigan is one of the weakest tracks on folklore imo. It’s cute, but definitely can’t compete with most of the rest.
@@mirroredheart7292 PLEASE cardigan even tops All Too Well in every way.
@@finalhearts7534 literally where? Cardigan is so basic. Taylor’s singles are usually the worst songs on their respective albums, & Cardigan is no different. There’s just nothing particularly memorable about it whatsoever.
august and the lakes both being top tier sits right with me
Hi Kaito momota i agree
100% The Lakes is seriously one of the best it’s so gorgeous 😭 I still get the same chills I got from the first time I listened
Your ranking Taylor Swift video was essentially my introduction to her music as I’ve basically only heard radio songs, but I started using your video as a guide to her whole discography and now I’m completely in love with her so thanks for changing my life lmao!
i love this for us
@@juliacudney you gave her the experience of Taylor Swift, best gift ever! They will listen to last kiss, all too well, cruel summer, August, etc because of you like wow

who is calling cardigan a skip? i just wanna talk
Me!
ME!
Not me!!! I love the melody during the "leaving like a father running like water" part. I hum it all the time.
for real!! people just love to hate lead singles for the hell of it
me! honestly, it and betty are skips even though I enjoy them at some points
Champagne Problems made me sob and I wasn’t even sad.
Me with marjorie
I’m going to be 100% honest in the fact that if you made an entire video about your Taylor Swift Jukebox Musical I would drop basically anything to watch/listen to it no matter how detailed it was.
but i almost want to
@@juliacudney Do it!!!
@@juliacudney omg please i live for your taylor videos
I would still LOVE to see a video like that, or even a Spotify playlist or something
Pop punk alt Taylor yes Ms. Julia WE SEE EACHOTHER
i'm glad someone else sees the vision
Julia is manifesting it, I'm tellin ya
I'd love that so much! My middle/high school mp3 player was just Taylor Swift and Avril Lavigne until I put a Jpop album on it.
WE NEED THIS.
story of us is the blueprint

Just a precision so no one freaks out, they are in a backward order on Spotify. So the 1st place is for the last one
Do it again, maybe it's a gift and she'll do another album 😍
Watch Jimmy Kimmel with her and she cola is that.
Can you share the playlist you made for your dad too? I want to send it to mine.
Ivy didn’t sound like a cheating song to me and it surprised me that people read it that way, to me it sounded like a Portrait of a Lady on Fire kind of thing where two women are in love but have to marry men, but maybe I’m just too lesbian
As a lesbian, I agree hahaha 💖 Technically yes it's about cheating since it's an extramarital affair, but it definitely has ✨wlw finding solace in each other away from their husbands✨ vibes
literally i picture a village woman falling in love with like a tree nymph or fairy and then the husband finds out and all the villagers get pitchforks and torches and at the end they’re just kissing in the cabin surrounded by townfolk and they’re just so in love
@@Chelsea-ze9yz I love this so much!!
A new interpretation i am stealing for my own experience
yes this is EXACTLY the interpretation i had. it was cheating but not in a very cheaty way
I feel like people give epiphany too much of a hard time, I think it's so beautiful
I didn't even know people didn't like it, I'm very confused now
Same, I think it’s a masterpiece. Makes me cry every time. So does hoax!
It's my favorite from Folklore!
‘Tis the damn season is a Christmas song the way River or If we make it through December are Christmas songs. Sad Christmas is my favorite Christmas genre.
Ugh, River makes me cry, but it's so good! I love sad Christmas music too :)
Why censor damn? Its not a bad word lmao
@@JesusGomez-ob2qt It autocorrects when I use voice to text as censoring and I didn't notice it until someone told me. I use voice to text when I'm at work so...

before anyone says anything; no body no crime is supreme. fight me
ummmmm gold rush says hi
@@Brendanstop it’s a close second lol
I'm partial to Marjorie, but that's because "if I didn't know better, I'd think she was [you were] talking to me"
I'm absolutely addicted to no body no crime tbh
AGREE! I'm obsessed with it
this is me trying is so criminally underrated
@Asaël M. yeah i get that, i just adore the lyrics so so much. and i love that bridge!! that song got me through some hard shit so i love it
as a former gifted kid, “so i got wasted like all my potential” and “so ahead of the curve that the curve became a sphere” hit DIFFERENT
me as soon as i see the vinyl "oh she got the meet me behind the mall one" why am i like this
its the same one I picked out. I just picked cause I liked the photo the most.
these albums are absolutely everything.
im pretty sure taylor said in her RUclips live when evermore dropped (i didn’t watch it ive just heard this repeated someone correct me if im wrong lol) that goldrush is set in the exact moment that she met joe. so the layered dreamy vocals at the beginning and end of the song is her slipping into a daydream abt him and then back out of it. the middle is what she’s imagining being with him would be like before she knew anything about him, and the chorus sounds like she’s trying to talk herself out of being interested in him bc she doesn’t think he would choose her out of his apparent endless sea of options “everybody wonders what it would be like to love you”. these are themes in other songs about joe (gorgeous, lover, etc)
I thought gorgeous was about Tom but I could be wrong
@@capricornswiftie279 No, I think she wrote that about Joe, the boyfriend she was talking about though was Tom
i’m glad to see someone appreciates gold rush as much as i do
same and i kinda love you bc of your lexie profile pic
tis the damn season is THAT song thats gonna grow on you and you'll find it on replay forever and ever. its the equivalent of august for me
See for me Champagne Problems was the grower (whereas Gold Rush was the shower). I was hit her for CP until I really read the lyrics and realized how much the bridge hit me
@@bibliophilecb "champagne problems" was a grower too, same with "tolerate it". "tolerate it" has grown on me so much that it's definitely in my top 2 on evermore and top 5 of all of her songs. I'm just not sure if it's beating out "willow" in the top 2 of evermore since I've loved that from day 1 and I still love it to this day. On the "gold rush" note: I liked it when I first listened to it and now it's probably bottom 5 from evermore. It's soooooo repetitive, I just can't like it.
true, I had ‘tis the damn season as my least fav song from evermore, but now it’s potentially top 5!
the lakes snuck up on me so quickely
didn't know I needed this so badly
My initial top 5 of evermore:
1: no body, no crime
2: ‘tis the damn season
3: Marjorie
4: champagne problems
5: tolerate it
The gold rush erasure....
@@FuturistJae yeah right?
switch majorie with gold rush and you have my top five
the evermore (song) erasure
@@atmosphericentry0 If it was a solo song it'd be top 5 material...
I don't listen to much Taylor Swift, but watching someone who is passionate and opinionated about the things that they love is my favorite thing. I could seriously watch a video double this length of just you going on various Taylor Swift rambles. People that get so excited about their passions are the best.
August is literally a masterpiece
For me, Illicit Affairs doesn't have to be about cheating - they are secretly hooking up, keeping it quiet possibly because they share a friend circle and they don't want people to know and have comments, kind of friends with benefits. Then she'd like to make it official and bring it all to light and he refuses to do so; she knows she should break it off but she's caught feelings and would rather be with him in secret even as it hurts her heart.
you see, that's what I thought too, but the lyric about the perfume implies that she can't even have him smell like her. It's a cheating husband trope, just like the lipstick stain on the collar.
If Julia were to make a Taylor Swift musical, evermore (the song) would for sure be the ending song and everyone in the musical would sing bon ivers part
pleeeeease
PEACE TOP 2 WE LOVE TO SEE IT. THE AMOUNT OF DUST IT GETS PAID IS SHOCKING, THE LYRICS, THE MELODY, EVERYTHING.
BEAUTIFUL, MY MOST FAVORITE SONG FROM FOLKLORE
Thank you for giving Seven the love it DESERVES. Also, I’m obsessed with Gold Rush and I laughed out loud when you were in the middle of a sentence but when “what must it be like to grow up that beautiful” came on you were like WAIT 😂
okay now manifest woodvale 😌
did i tell my friends i was going to bed? yes. did i open youtube instead and watch an hour long video of julia being an absolute cutie? also yes
When Epiphany is your all time favorite Taylor Song and Julia ranks it lowest. The pain 😅
the way she said 'Ohhh, it's a Mumford son...or maybe its the main Mumford?' sent me
“i got that last idea from someone else” omg that was me! hey girl!
when i first listened to folklore i heard the 1 and went "that's my favorite song on the album" because it was a Taylor Swift song in my favorite genre and then she gave a whole album of that. My first listen was one of the most emotional nights. Every song was coming in as a top 50 all time Taylor song
Peace has been my no.1 since day one. I love seeing people wake up to it!!
Sameeeee I cried when I first heard it
I know marjorie is going to grow on me and be one of my favorites, but I lost my own grandmother two weeks to the day before evermore came out, so I can't bring myself to re-listen to it more than the two times I already have.
I’m so sorry. I hope you’re doing alright.
this is me trying and mirrorball long pond studio sessions made me realize IM IN LOVE WITH THOSE SONGS despite not thinking much of them before 😶
just realized that no, I don’t like you is a look what you made me do lyric, omg
I LOVE THE ACES! also i watch this video when i'm feeling sad because the pure joy and love it emits fuels me. thank you julia
folklore and evermore are so good omggg
I was still trying to digest Lover and she gave us 2 OTHER MASTERPIECES BACK TO BACK like Taylor please I can't appreciate all this great art at once

hearing your takes on taylor’s music is almost as good as listening to the music itself!! i love you 💕💕
help i got emotional watching your evermore reaction almost like i was also listening to it for the first time (i teared up no joke)... i love this album
julia's makeup here,, she DEVOURED
i watched your original video the day before she released folklore and it popped back up on my home page and i RAN to your channel to see if you had added folklore and evermore and ive never been happier to find your channel again
Your first video about ranking Taylor's songs gave me a bit of a Taylor Swift Renaissance. I was a huge fan of hers growing up. Since then I've been listening to Folklore and Evermore on repeat waiting for this video. Glad it's finally here!
You’re so well-spoken! And the beginning of this photo made me lol so much. 😁
This was amazing. Listening to these albums for the first time was such an experience. Thanks for sharing it.
the lakes snuck up on me so quickly
Yeeeees! After watching your original ranking a million times, finally a ranking including folklore and evermore! (Now let's see if woodvale is gonna be a punk rock album)!
my jaw DROPPED at how criminally low you placed exile
I thought I was the only person who thought Tolerate It was very Dear John like
ur reaction to evermore is literally the cutest thing ever
idk if this sounds weird but your hair looks v soft n pretty :)
it doesn’t sound weird it’s nice to hear 🥰

the same thing happened with me and seven too! sonically it’s sooo beautiful and “i used to scream ferociously any time i wanted” sooo good
I loved this! I love your content Julia! You are awesome❤️
My Betty+James+Augustine love triangle story:
They live in a very rural area, so there’s only one high school for the county. They all go to the same school, but Betty lives in a different town. James and Augustine were close friends. The story takes place in the 80s (pre internet)
One summer, James and Augustine are hanging out a bit. Augustine’s parents go away on a vacation, leaving her with the house and car, so she calls James, they meet up behind the mall, and go to her house. She sneaks a bottle of wine, they get a little drunk. They hook up. In her guilt, Augustine tells Inez.
Back at school, Inez tells Betty, so Betty dumps James and changes her classes. She has a party, and James wants to make it up to her. She takes him back
However, a year or so later, Betty goes to college and James comes to take her home for Christmas, and he wants to propose. She breaks up with him when he asks the question.
At the high school reunion, Betty comes back to the small town around Christmas/New Years. She reconnects with James. They start getting together, but Betty knows she has to go back to a job in LA after New Years. James convinces her to stay
Songs: August, Betty, Mirrorball, This is Me Trying, Peace, Hoax, Champaign Problems, Cardigan, Back to December, Tis the Damn Season, Ivy, Gold Rush, New Years Day
Wow you’re too smart
I love connecting all of it! But I think Dorothea is related to tis the damn season :(
@@brandiking2045 I think so too, but this is my concept for a music based on my interpretation of the individual songs

I wish that I could go back in time just to listen to the Gold Rush key change for the first time.
*gasp* “scary piano”
Got here when it was posted 13 seconds ago. HELLO TAYLOR
YES I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU OMG
Ok but the look is top tier. You look extra amazing
"Oh this isn't gone girl this is a simple favor" lmfao
girl you look SO BEAUTIFUL in the evermore react
Wow! I watched all of that lol! Love your brain and analysis. I find myself agreeing with a lot of how you feel on almost all of it! I can’t even pick a favorite folklore song yet. It still changes. I enjoy singing along the most to Betty, though. The end is just so woah! Also the bridge in cardigan is just epic. August and my tears ricochet are perfect too...
Gold rush has been a reigning favorite on evermore, though champagne problems may have beat it out after further listens.
But I’m also obsessed with Marjorie and it makes me cry thinking about my grandmother.
And evermore is a masterpiece.
And I mean, goddamn, these albums are SO GOOD! 😊🙏
I’ve been waiting for this ❤️
omggg I’ve been waiting for this
August being at #1 is all I need. It makes me think of the early 00s Brit Pop-Rock which is also very nostalgic for me. My dislike for Cardigan was the same as my dislike for Willow until I heard remixes lol Now I love them both.
that opening is amazingly funny and really well-crafted, kudos to you!
I’ve been waiting for you Julia!
Epiphany was my first listen #1 and it's also fallen for me since (although not as much) but you totally summed up exactly why. Your TS videos are the best!
I was WATING this video!!
Fully in agreement about the Long Pond sessions changing my feelings on mirrorball and this is me trying. Made a huge difference for me. Also, LOVE see Peace so high on someone's ranking! That's rare. I love that song so much. That chorus ended up resonanting HARD. Plus it's so gorgeous.
YES POP-PUNK is what I FELT for Taylor with Paper Rings!!!
omg your makeup is gorgeous
OMG! I love your dad's takes
oh god the rock version of "i knew you were trouble"? SO good. need a studio version.
Initially I didnt know the context behind august, cardigan, and betty. I just loved august because it sounded so nostalgic and dreamy but when I learned about the triangle I went back to that song and literally started crying 😫 my favorite for sure!
If I’m going by your tiers:
i forgot that you existed:
14. ivy
the song in the car I keep singing:
13. closure
i love you because you have given me no choice:
12. happiness
11. gold rush
10. marjorie
oh my what a marvellous tune:
9. evermore
8. no body, no crime
7. coney island
6. cowboy like me
5. long story short

4. willow
3. tolerate it
2. dorothea
1. champagne problems
‘tis the damn season is so underrated, it is forgotten even in the rankings, I am sad.
@@aybikegizemkayacan8068 lol and I actually like it
Personally, I’ve never heard my tears ricochet as anything other than a call out to big machine and everyone who screwed her over, and I think it’s a callback to teardrops on my guitar which was so intensely popular
OK BUT PLEASE MAKE MORE RANKING VIDEOS 💖 I watch them from start to finish. I understood it more than my online class....
I have never been a big taylor fan, but folklore came out and I enjoyed it and was genuinely surprised. But evermore came out and it skyrocketed to one of my all time favorite albums and I have not stopped listening to it everyday since it came out
The 1 being so low is a war crime
I swearrrrrrrr
I'm an augustan lol. The bridge sends me out of my body. It is outside time. I love it so much and I loved the way you described it.
I think this video might have single handedly finally made me understand peace
i think tolerate it is the wife's perspective of the illicit affairs story
oooooo i like that interpretation!
TS says miss Julia Cudney has no rights and also all the rights! I'm so glad you decided to upload this!
The pop punk idea reminds me of when thedrerock made cardigan and the last great american dynasty sound like early paramore
PLS having New Year's Day as your number 1 is SO iconic like it's one of my fave taylor songs too and def my fave off of reputation 😭😭😭 like i never see it on people's lists
