I really don't understand why pro players surrender when they got resources to spend. I played a game last night, I lost almost my whole base, rebuilt it and won.
Because they understand when their opponent is in the winning position. And in that elo, they also know their opponent isn't going to randomly start making mistakes.
The better players are the more unlikely a comeback is. That's why for example in chess pro matches players surrender before beginners even realize one player is far ahead.
