So much fun-I can definitely get excited about these trends. I love the personalization of spaces. My husband and I have inherited lots of antique furniture, and we've collected art from our many trips. It's nice to know all of these are trending again. I am not a minimalist, because I really love pattern, color, and texture. Thanks for sharing your ideas for integrating these trends into our homes.

Happy holidays and wishing you great health going forward 🤗 Halfway through video and want to pause and say that you can buy lime at any agricultural farm store for next to nothing and slake it yourself in a wheelbarrow 🥰 It’s only scary at first. We painted our entire 250 sq metre house with 3.5 meter high ceilings on each of three floors, both inside and exterior, for about 100 euros. All natural, no VOCs, no off-gassing, bug and fire and mould resistant, lovely ambiance, all natural (they sprinkle it on fields to add maybe nitrogen to soil so vegetables so they grow better), not an allergen, great !! We’re thinking of limewashing our red roman/French terracotta roof tiles white to cool our house 5c in the summer / climate changed future.
Hi Julie, this video was so fun! I really am hoping to purchase a home again this year because I really want to color drench. I LOVE neutrals but I’m really getting into all the moody gem stone colors, except red. My favorite patterns are florals and cheetah. I love vintage ornate brass frames and vintage in general but I’m wanting to do have my walls either black or dark green, and incorporate the Whimsigoth style! I’ve always been a maximalist no matter how hard I’ve tried not to be. I wish I had gone into design when I was young but it’s still fun learning and your channel is one of my favorites!
I just returned from Les Issambres France 🇫🇷 in the Côte d’Azur & was very inspired by the lifestyle of my friends there 🥰 Very relaxed & inviting - sunny & warm in September & most of the year! Gorgeous terra cotta roof tiles & beautiful statuary with palm trees swaying! Everyone should take a vacation there. It’s like heaven on Earth 🌎
Great overview - but all the way through I'd assumed "Z" would be for Zero - waste, VOCs, etc. Then we see the perfect tiles for our upcoming bathroom project!

Thanks for such an indepth video, all great insights! I have that exact image at minute 5:21 saved to a Pinterest board of inspiration picks I'm using for a Home Office redo in my house. From a feng shui perspective I know one of the colors I will be using to block is blue and I'm just trying to figure out what other colors I want to incorporate. I absolutely love color blocking mixed with inspirations from pop art as well as the Memphis group so the goal is to create a space reflecting a modern Memphis group inspiration with a softer color blocking palate. I think it will give me just the inspiration, whimsy, and interest I want in my home office for 2025.
Those color blocked kitchens are done in Memphis style. Not something I would choose at first, but I LOVE the impact! More color in 2025 please!! Happy new year Chauncy!! 🎊🎆🎇🥂✨

Is it a Feng Shui thing if you thinking about the history of the place? To preserve the original details and taking back som of the wibe? Lived in my 70s house for five years and have the feeling that my house dont like the renovation previous owners done. They mixed cottage with Tuscan. Feel that my house want more of the original. Renovated my dining room and mixed in some contemporary and mid century furniture with a 70s wallpaper and it really feels like my house is enjoying it. Before in my apartment was industrial style Interior because its my style. But in this house it would look really bad. Crazy or is my house telling me something?
I have a rug similar to the dark patterned rug in the picture you describe as European Country for western (usa) homes. We want a modern family room, but love that rug. Would we have to toss it!!😊
I'd like to understand "textures" more. I order so much on line, that the "feel" is missing. (even patches don't help with the full picture). For example, I'm stuck knowing whether I want chenille, mohair or velvet for my dining chairs and sofa. I'm definitely an -understated elegant-luxury girl, but the stretch/longevity/maintenance keep me at a loss. Maybe you could do a show on the different material textures for different items. For me it's an investment of almost €3K.
I love this idea! Mohair is the crème de la crème! Lasts forever, but needs regular combing and maintenance. Natural velvet is divine. Synthetic chenille is the easiest to launder and maintain, plus the least expensive. Start with your budget and go from there Robina!
We’re renovating our kitchen and can only find cabinets that are a thin layer of natural wood (we chose maple) with engineered maple hdf underneath. I live in Hawaii and was told solid wood warps. Does this type of cabinet have lasting power? The company is Bellmont? Anyone use this manufacturer or have any suggestions? We have not been able to find a carpenter here like we did on the mainland when we remodeled our former home. We have dark black slate floors so we need a lighter cabinet for balance. Also, when is paisley coming back? I have always loved that pattern.
I love the video that must have been really difficult to pull together so much information brilliantly done. But I am desperate for designers to show me bedroom stuff, dressers, night stands, bed frames for adjustable beds. And to solve my adjustable bed problem of sheets slipping off at night and the sheets made for adjustable beds are so slippery you are sliding off the bed, chairs for bedrooms, plants, interesting and unique things to put on the dresser and night stands to make the room look amazing. Help please! Thank you !

It was listing done on wood too so it wasn't so heavy as particle board.

Lived in my 70s house for five years and have the feeling that my house dont like the renovation previous owners done. They mixed cottage with Tuscan. Feel that my house want more of the original. Renovated my dining room and mixed in some contemporary and mid century furniture with a 70s wallpaper and it really feels like my house is enjoying it.
Before in my apartment was industrial style Interior because its my style. But in this house it would look really bad. Crazy or is my house telling me something?
My old home loved fall, you could just see it.

I have a rug similar to the dark patterned rug in the picture you describe as European Country for western (usa) homes. We want a modern family room, but love that rug. Would we have to toss it!!😊

I'd like to understand "textures" more. I order so much on line, that the "feel" is missing. (even patches don't help with the full picture). For example, I'm stuck knowing whether I want chenille, mohair or velvet for my dining chairs and sofa. I'm definitely an -understated elegant-luxury girl, but the stretch/longevity/maintenance keep me at a loss. Maybe you could do a show on the different material textures for different items. For me it's an investment of almost €3K.
I love this idea! Mohair is the crème de la crème! Lasts forever, but needs regular combing and maintenance. Natural velvet is divine. Synthetic chenille is the easiest to launder and maintain, plus the least expensive. Start with your budget and go from there Robina!
We’re renovating our kitchen and can only find cabinets that are a thin layer of natural wood (we chose maple) with engineered maple hdf underneath. I live in Hawaii and was told solid wood warps. Does this type of cabinet have lasting power? The company is Bellmont? Anyone use this manufacturer or have any suggestions? We have not been able to find a carpenter here like we did on the mainland when we remodeled our former home. We have dark black slate floors so we need a lighter cabinet for balance. Also, when is paisley coming back? I have always loved that pattern.
It’s a solid solution especially with all the humidity 👍 I’m a maximalist! Paisley never goes out of style 😉
I love the video that must have been really difficult to pull together so much information brilliantly done. But I am desperate for designers to show me bedroom stuff, dressers, night stands, bed frames for adjustable beds. And to solve my adjustable bed problem of sheets slipping off at night and the sheets made for adjustable beds are so slippery you are sliding off the bed, chairs for bedrooms, plants, interesting and unique things to put on the dresser and night stands to make the room look amazing. Help please! Thank you !
