It's not Istanbul. The correct name is, was and always will be: Constantinople.

Another one of those "Megali Idea" deamers ...who never wake up !!
The city is called ISTANBUL since 1453 ( 571 years ) and will always be called ISTANBUL..
You will have to live with this cruel (!!!) fact - too bad for you.
      Best wishes from ISTANBU:...

@@kayaalniak3423 Nope. You live in Constantinople. That other name is a historical mistake and a barbaric way to falsify history. Greetings to you and your fellow residents of Constantinople.

@@marlou3333 No... I was born , raised and live in İSTANBUL and probably die but definitely be buried in İSTANBUL. All my ancestors, as far as I can trace them back, were born here and so will our descendants be - most probably...
"A barbaric way to falsify history" is an unfortunate expression... No one has falsified the history. It was the end of the Byzantine Empire in 1453 (also of Middle Ages) and its replacement by the Ottomans, as was the end of the WW1 also the end of the Ottomans.
For anyone possessing any idea about the Near East and Black Sea, referring to İSTANBUL as Konstantinopolis is automatically associated with "Megali Idea & Enosis" - a dream that was never realized and can never be realized...
It is possible to write pages and talk for hours on the subject - but enough is enough.
Sincere greetings & best wishes to you from,,,,,,,
