I really wished I liked Mike High, for me it had no business being that long plus the author could have put more effort into the fact that these characters were black and infused some culture into it if she just did a bit more research. I was so confused that I kept going into Pinterest to gauge their race. It wasn’t until Stevies parents came up I was like oh!!! 🫠. Sadly this put me off the rest of the series. But the rave reviews of book two may make me cave because Stevies brother sounds like a dream boat 😅 I’ve added out on a limb to my tbr though ☺️
Ah yeah I get that. I just loved the body positivity and that made me keep reading. I also read the book really quickly and that’s probably why I did enjoy it but I am really excited to read the next one in the series and hopefully it does infuse more culture into it, I’d love to read that💕🫶🏻
