One thing to note on league starting delve. Resonators tend to start cheap and go up in value as league goes on. People are using them for end game crafting projects so demand is not too high until about 3 weeks into the league. This league they shot up about 40% in price about 3 weeks in. Also at shallower depths the cities can vomit awakened sextants which can boost your early profit a lot
Appreciate the Delve content, keep it coming. I think Delve is some of the most fun content in POE. Unlike a lot of other content you can play Delve a lot while trading very little. Making the actual profit per hour much better than a lot of other content which involves wasting a lot of time buying and selling rather than simply playing the content. I will also be focusing next league on delve.
Got to 100 on HC doing this, but not truly for profit. Just because the difficulty of delves is predictable and nothing one-shot you if you don't go very deep. Resonators on HC were 4c per small resonator. Amusingly, there is only a market for 1 socket. Those sell fast, people try to sell 3 sockets for 4c and that's not even as popular. Don't forget to mention you need absolutely bunker amount of damage and defenses to push delves. You sort of brush this aside, but if someone try to do this on their RF build (which is what I was playing on HC), don't even try to go deep. You'll never have the dps required there. A delve build gotta be both very tanky and deal a lot of damage. Endgame uber bosses do not reach nearly as much HP as some stuff does in delves. Like if you fight a Beyond boss in deep delves, this has way way more HP than uber bosses. So yes, delves basically is a benchmark to your build. To what you can tank and how much dps you actually have. It will tell you if you don't have enough, you just won't be able to kill white mobs efficiently past a point.
I play the boneshatter build "Slachtica" at depth 1650 - you can find me on poe ninja. Normally i do 40 mil dps and if i can ramp up without interruption, i go till 300 trauma which makes me do up to 90 mil dps. That is too slow for some monsters that deep and feels terrible. I am trying to transition to molten strike now or anything that lets me do at least 500 mil dps without ramp up. Yes, boneshatter is viable but there are much better builds or skills out there. I've been delving the last few days and it's a lot of fun tbh(This is my second season). I'm floating around 450-500 depth at the moment. I want to make a dedicated delving character here soon.
As someone new to to delving, I’d love a top 1-5 league start with builds at 3.23 with a approx delve depth. I’d love to get to 1600 and then skip sideways and learn fossil crafting in SSF. It’s more for learning how to craft than making divine for hour and learning how to craft in Delve.
So I’ll address in a few parts. 1) Delve depth at the end of the day is going to come to player skill and just knowing some mechanics especially on a league start. It’s really hard to give approximate depths for builds for players when you don’t understand their level of skill / play. 2) as far as build ideas go for 3.23 and what to expect we can look into something for that closer to league start after patch notes. 3) 1600 depth in ssf I have 0 clue how to do that as I am a trade andy
The people who are good player go deeper early period. The people who start pushing deep in middle ish part of league buy a delving build like let's just say armor stacker type builds.. you need to know mechanics and type of play you would never think of in the normal game they use insane stats and stuff that wouldn't even make sense to a person who hasn't passed 500.. why do you think when it's snapshot time for poe ninja some of them change what they use? because it's their strat and it's what they are using to stay near the top of the leaderboard early and that's just how it is.. in ssf its insane to think that you can league start something that can just go to 1500 because it can.. you need alot of practice and also just knowledge of deep delving but guess what we play a constantly resetting game and you can ALWAYS learn more and get better so just do it just learn just try and just have fun and that my friend is the best part we make our fun and that is why we come back every league and people who find success with that they do tend to do what they did because if they found success most of the time they pushed thru and min maxed the strat because it's fun to them so ya this is just a ramble of a crazy man so make of it what you will and enjoy your time in our great game!
Generally your never gonna push past 1k (in my experience 800) without mageblood, your free to try, but the damage is too high, the specific gear u need is too fine tuned to be realistic for delve alone. Pushing 600 is healthy for SSF self crafting, has all the stuff you need, and is far less time investment and won’t brick your character for other content
I've followed you through Blight and I can't league start without doing Blight cause I've gotten so good at it the currency is a must have for me. Do they mainly come in the form of fossils and jewelry? Or do the actual random loot explosions give a good amount of things to sell and currency as well? I guess is it more than just resonators fossils and jewelry that comes out of delving? Or is there also more things to look for that's just too much to go over in one video?
I used to do spreadsheets when I first started playing and it really ruined the fun for me. I do a lot of my gameplay based on what I find fun and just try to maximized the profit that way. Once I start spreadsheeting it all I get bored quick
I believe all bosses health total is maxed out at 1500, and they stop scaling. Rare's start becoming the threats, and eventually everything is completely scaled at 6000. I would have personally assumed that rewards scale to 6000 as well, but that's because of how I could imagine it being coded, I have no evidence either way.
You can bootstrap your delve character by getting as deep as you can survive, then complete a long route without destroying any walls (ice biome works best for easy mobility). The trick is to run it after completion and pick up all of the azurite nodes without blowing up the walls, then teleport back to the start. If you don't stop for anything else you should be able to get about 2 div/hr from spending azurite on primitive resonators and trading them on the market. Resonators sell like hotcakes. The node value does scale with depth so the farther down you can go the more you'll make, so you'll want to aim for at least 150-200 to make it worth your while (I was getting about 1000 azurite per minute at this depth, which works out to 2.8 div/hr if you sell in bulk and can maintain that pace without losing your mind). I did this last league until I could afford my nimis and get to a depth where the natural delve activities outscaled the value of the azurite nodes. The only drawback is it's absolutely mind numbingly dull.
I think deep delvers and lab farmers are the weirdest specialized non-atlas builds in the game. Not sure how profits for those compare to regular atlas strats, but they're always interesting to see.
If you build for lab farming with one of those 1300% ms builds, it's hands down the best farming strat in the game. It does require a lot of research and prepping all the right bases. For example offering lab service requires a lot of TFT rep because a few leagues ago they kept getting banned (with everybody's items) because they're all RMT'ing because they're making insane amounts of currency.
What scares me off delve is that ABSURD scaling of damage and hp of monsters. I've heard that GGG did a rework of that scaling, but how is it better now? I've managed to assemble an armour stacker jugg with 3 rare large clusters and mageblood. Currently sitting at 2.1 mil armour and 22mil shaper dps. What depth should i farm with that numbers?
I wonder how much scaling is an increase in sulphite cost vs azurite return. Maybe that is what stops scaling? I don't play delve that much so I am just taking a random guess as to what people might be trying to say about it stopping in scaling
