Anticipated to feature a robust dual-motor AWD setup as standard, Genesis might also introduce a higher-output variant dubbed the GV90 Performance.
In terms of pricing, the 2025 Genesis GV90 is expected to start at $75,000 or higher and could hit the market as early as 2024. We anticipate its pricing will undercut competitors like the Mercedes EQS SUV and Tesla Model X, both of which begin at six figures. Unlike its predecessor, the GV80, which offers a cramped third row, the GV90 is poised to deliver a more spacious and accessible third-row seating experience.
As part of its strategy, Genesis is placing a significant emphasis on electric vehicles. By 2025, the brand plans to exclusively introduce new electric models, with the entire lineup transitioning to EVs by 2030. Already, Genesis has introduced the GV60 as a dedicated electric vehicle, along with electric versions of the G80 sedan and GV70 SUV.
