Pile 2 sounds about right
Pile 1: I just can't with the cycles. He's so unreliable. I want to give the benefit of the doubt that he could truly truly truly change but it's like one step forward two steps back. I detached from him. And his friends have detached from him as well. I just feel guilty for turning my back on him BUT I can't sacrifice my own sanity for someone who has zero idea of what he wants in life.

I am in the same situation with someone totally unreliable, and I left him too. There is so much you can do for someone until it impacts your own health. Self care is priority. Thank them for the good times and let them be someone else's problem now.
Pile 2. Exactly situation. We love us so much. He is a very good person but he is so stagnant and confused… I am more brave to take decisions and risks, he dont. We had the same plans for the future but I feel that when push comes to shove he doesn't want to take risks and go for them, he stays in the imagination. Its sad because there was a good and healthy relationship, but things got stagnant and we broke. He need to heal things and move. I think its my twin flame, but i dont know how this end like that.
