To anyone interested in melty blood or who the characters are or the story is, I'd recommend checking out either the tsukhime manga or the actual tsukhime visual novel. The manga is the most accessible to get into and has certain advantages to the visual novel itself. It's also a beautiful story and gives context. Maybe it'll make you a fan enough to buy this game 😉
@@eddiejoewalt7746 yeah taking place in the same multiverse. The nasuverse is pretty cool for us lore heads. Anyone who plays fighting games or even just games in general for story and characters, theres enough story lore and characters around to keep you invested for literal decades, speaking from experience 🤣

Also the manga is based on the original visual novel, this game is based on the remake of it (for example vlov and noel are completly new characters)
@@hartfantom it's by the same creator and takes place in the same multiverse ala MCU. So it makes sense they look the same. Just like Kara no kyoukai and others
Red Arcueid's Arc Drive is literally End of Evangelion mixed with Drakengard. Pretty scary stuff.

-The ending of Ciel's route in "A Piece of Blue Glass Moon" (without Shiki, basically Arcueid is beyond salvation)
-The ending of Red Arcueid storyline (explicitly described as nightmare)

Melty was actually their first fighting game, this is basically a reboot.
If you remember Eltnum from Under Night, she's from original Melty.

no its from visual novel called tsukihime if you're familiar with anime fate series they are from the same creator.

A lot of the characters are from an anime called Tsukihime which is pretty cool
And the battle itself like anime man, always moving around and cross up everywhere. Its pretty fun actually

They don't feel that broken if the opponents gets a chance to reset you you can also counter of course. Onion ring girl is annoying to deal with though saber probably to with her Air special like ciel

This is not a remake of the original. The original MB took place after the events of the original Tsukihime VN but this one is a what-if scenario taking place before the Tsukihime remake. Due to this, there are no Tatari characters due to them not having any business in town yet.
There are short stories simillar to arcade from the old melty blood

Because it's original premise is Tsukihime to begin with. And Melty Blood is just a side story when it first came out. Now with the reconstruction of the story of Tsukihime remake that has come out this year, there might the possibility of her to get included after the story of all the routes in Tsukihime remake has been completed.

@@jellalfernandes9820 Sion is the integral part of the story in the previous Melty Blood but because Nasu want to focus on reconstructing the story of Tsukihime, they need to also readjust the game so there will be no spoiler for the Tsukihime remake, that's why the roster for the game is quite low. However, maybe they will bring the TATARI/Wallachia plotline back after finishing with Tsukihime remake and bring all the cast back one by one after that. You know, just like when Marvel reconstructed the story for Spiderman to be finally included in Marvel Avengers.

@@Human-qz3mz Yeah, that is the reason why Tsuki or Melty boomer fans are so salty at Saber appearance (which is understandable). Also those budgets are separate (FGO money will only spend on FGO so it is budget hell for Tsuki/Melty to develop and got delayed like 10 years).
