It only happens occasionally and I don't want to sound like I'm bragging or anything, but it's possible she can do that too and she hadn't actually heard it before, especially since she's likely familiar with Taylor's writing style. I'm not saying that you're wrong, but it's just something to think about.

I was never aware she was redoing songs/ albums but one day me and family where at the mall and I heard this one playing. Like all of these people I too freaked out when I heard newer lyrics. Popped out my phone, scanned the song, it shows me "10 minute" version. I stopped my family in the store we were in and started freaking out because I knew some of the context lol my sister understood once I explained and we were like oh wow she destroyed him lol.
My favorite verse has to be the "till we were dead and gone and burried check the pulse and come back swearing its the same, after three months in the grave, and then you wondered where it went to as i reached for you but all i felt was shame and you held my lifeless frame"..
